Malcolm Rodriguez - Limited to open week Rodriguez (ankle) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice.
Impact Rodriguez has been sidelined for the Lions' last two regular-season games after spraining his ankle in Week 8 against the Titans. Wednesday marked the first time he has been able to practice since the injury, and he'll have two more chances to increase his participation ahead of Sunday's game against the Jaguars.

Za'Darius Smith - Practices in full Wednesday Smith (personal) was not listed on Wednesday's injury report.
Impact Smith was held out of this past Sunday's game against Houston after being traded from Cleveland to Detroit on Nov. 5, but he will be good to go against Jacksonville on Sunday, Nov. 17. Through the first nine regular-season games with the Browns, Smith logged 23 tackles (15 solo), including 5.0 sacks.

Kalif Raymond - Absent from injury report Raymond (cramps) was not listed on Detroit's injury report Thursday.
Impact Raymond left Sunday's game against the Texans due to cramps, but it's not an issue that will jeopardize his chances of playing against the Jaguars in Week 11. Through nine regular-season games, Raymond has logged 14 catches (on 17 targets) for 174 yards and two touchdowns.

Derrick Barnes - Could return later this season? Barnes (knee) told reporters Wednesday that he's not ruling out a return this season, Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports.
Impact Barnes has been sidelined since sustaining injuries to his MCL and PCL in Detroit's Week 3 win over the Cardinals. He indicated there's a chance of a return this year, but it sounded as if the odds appear slim. The fourth-year pro recorded 10 total tackles and one pass defended across 114 defensive snaps before sustaining his injuries. If he's able to return later this season, he'll likely serve as a depth piece in the Lions' linebacker corps.

Sam LaPorta - No practice Wednesday Coach Dan Campbell said LaPorta (shoulder) didn't practice Wednesday, Eric Woodyard of ESPN.com reports.
Impact LaPorta exited this past Sunday's win at Houston due a shoulder injury that eventually was termed an AC joint sprain. On Monday, Campbell called LaPorta day-to-day, per Tim Twentyman of the Lions' official site, something that he repeated Wednesday. LaPorta will have two more chances this week to put himself in a position to be available Sunday against the Jaguars.

Impact Branch made his return to the field after being ejected in the first half of the team's Week 9 win over the Packers. The safety notched a season-high 10 tackles while playing all 65 of Detroit's defensive snaps against Houston. Branch is having a very impressive 2024 campaign thus far, compiling 50 total tackles (38 solo), four interceptions, 13 passes defensed and a forced fumble over eight games.
