Kalif Raymond - Questionable to return Sunday night Raymond (cramps) is questionable to return to Sunday night's game against the Texans, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Impact Detroit's punt returner returned three on the evening for 15 total yards. Raymond has 330 punt return yards and a touchdown this season, as well as 14 catches for 174 yards and two scores. Craig Reynolds is Detroit's backup kick returner to Khalil Dorsey.

Sam LaPorta - Questionable to return Sunday night LaPorta (shoulder) is questionable to return to Sunday night's game against the Texans.
Impact The tight end caught three passes for 66 yards and a touchdown before exiting. LaPorta has 25 catches for 366 yards and three scores on the year. Brock Wright is Detroit's next man up at tight end.

Za'Darius Smith - Not expected to play Sunday Smith (personal), who is officially questionable for Sunday's Week 10 matchup against Houston, isn't likely to suit up, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Impact Smith was dealt from Cleveland to Detroit on Tuesday, and Rapoport suggests that the edge rusher is "not quite ready" to make his Lions debut. Since he's not dealing with an injury, it seems likely that Smith will be able to participate in Detroit's following game, which will take place Sunday, Nov. 17 against Jacksonville. With Smith expected to be absent against the Texans, Josh Paschal and James Houston should continue to be called upon to rush the passer.

Shane Zylstra - Signed to active roster The Lions signed Zylstra from the practice squad to the active roster Saturday.
Impact Zylstra was elevated from the practice squad for the maximum three times this season, and he'll continue to play in Detroit after being signed to the active roster. Zylstra will serve as the Lions' No. 3 tight end Sunday against the Texans behind Sam LaPorta and Brock Wright.

Jalen Reeves-Maybin - Lands on IR with neck injury The Lions placed Reeves-Maybin (neck) on injured reserve Saturday.
Impact Reeves-Maybin was already ruled out for Sunday's game against the Texans due to a neck injury he picked up in Week 9 against the Packers. However, the injury is severe enough to warrant a multi-week absence, and Reeves-Maybin will be forced to sit for at least the next four regular-season games. The earliest he can return is Week 14 against Green Bay on Thursday, Dec. 5.

Impact Melifonwu has been on injured reserve since late September due to an ankle injury he suffered in Week 1, but his 21-day practice window to return from IR opened Wednesday, per Tim Twentyman of the Lions' official site. He was a full practice participant all week, and while he won't suit up Sunday, he has good chance at playing in Week 11 against Jacksonville on Sunday, Nov. 17.

Brodric Martin - Won't play Sunday Martin (leg) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Texans.
