Impact Taylor has been on injured reserve since he suffered a left hamstring injury Week 2, but he has a chance to return to game action Sunday against the Rams. Coach David Culley said Monday that Taylor will reclaim his job as the Texans' starting quarterback once he's cleared to play.

Ka'imi Fairbairn - Converts lone attempt Fairbairn was successful on his lone field-goal attempt, a 53-yard effort, in Sunday's 31-5 loss to Arizona.
Impact Fairbairn's established a strong leg and accuracy during his stay in Houston, but he's challenged by an offense that has scored just 30 points over the last four games. Sunday's game was the third time in those four games he's had just one field-goal attempt. If or until the offense can get on track, Fairbairn is a placekicker to avoid. Impact Akins finished second among tight ends, behind Pharaoh Brown, who had three catches for 11 yards. The Texans' offense has been shut down the last weeks, having scored just eight points in losses to Indianapolis and Arizona. The last Houston touchdown was early in the third quarter of Week 5. There's a chance Tyrod Taylor (hamstring) returns Week 8 against the Rams, which could provide a boost to Akins and the other pass-catchers.

Impact Since catching four passes on five targets for 67 yards in a Week 1 win over Jacksonville, Brown has eight catches for 47 yards and zero targets in the red zone over the last six games. During that stretch, the Texans have just seven red-zone appearances, the area where tight ends typically accrue their most fantasy value. His main competition at tight end, Jordan Akins, caught both of his targets for 13 yards.

Nico Collins - Leads in yards Collins caught two of five targets for 28 yards in Sunday's 31-5 loss to Arizona.
Impact Houston quarterback Davis Mills averaged just 4.2 yards-per-attempt, so it was not a banner day for the receiving crew. Collins' 28 yards led all wideouts, which indicates the current state of Houston's offense; they've been outscored 62-8 the last two weeks. During that time, Collins has emerged as the No. 2 wideout. He's been targeted 11 times while playing 60 percent of the snaps the last two weeks, second only to Brandin Cooks among Houston's wide receivers. Unfortunately, the rookie Mills is undergoing a steep learning curve in real time, and NFL defenses are taking advantage. The Texans may get Tyrod Taylor (hamstring) back this week. His return could benefit all concerned skill-position players.

Phillip Lindsay - Does little in loss Lindsay had two carries for eight yards in Sunday's 31-5 loss to the Cardinals.
Impact Lindsay had a season-low four snaps and has been on the field for just 18.3 percent of available offensive plays this season. The Texans want to have a viable running game, but they usually find themselves playing from behind. Even when in position to move via the ground, the Texans have had difficulty. Sunday's loss was the fifth time in seven games that Houston's averaged fewer than three yards per carry.

Mark Ingram II - Sees nine touches in loss Ingram had six carries for nine yards and caught all three of his targets for 18 yards in Sunday's 31-5 loss to Arizona.
Impact The Texans grabbed a 5-0 lead early in the second quarter on the backs of Houston's defense, which produced a safety then a short field that turned into a 53-yard Ka'imi Fairbairn field goal. Until that point, Ingram and the Texans' running game did little and finished with 42 yards and a 2.8 yards-per-attempt average. The Cardinals' offense eventually found itself and scored on four consecutive drives and Houston shelved its running game. Ingram leads the team's backs in carries but has not found the end zone since Week 1.
