Davion Davis - Signed by Houston The Texans signed Davis off the Browns' practice squad Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of Sportstalk 790 Houston reports.
Impact Davis led the Browns with 154 receiving yards during the preseason, but he was never able to crack the active roster. Nico Collins (shoulder) is already on IR, and Danny Amendola is dealing with a thigh injury that kept him out of Week 3, so Davis has a chance for an extended stay in Houston.

Impact Fairbairn was active for the first time this season after overcoming a leg injury, but the kicker didn't have any scoring opportunities as Houston was blanked in Buffalo. The veteran will hope to get a few chances to show his stuff in Week 5 versus the Patriots.

Impact Burkhead logged his first carry of the season while playing a season-low three snaps. In all the preseason speculation about how the carries would be divided among Houston's veteran running backs, it doesn't matter. The Texans are averaging just 2.7 yards per carry the last three weeks, and it's pass-catching back David Johnson that may be the most valuable of the group.

Phillip Lindsay - Not a day for running backs Lindsay had four carries for minus-1 yard in Sunday's 40-0 loss to Buffalo.
Impact The Texans were never too far out of the game on the scoreboard until the fourth quarter, but they were totally outclassed by the Bills. Forced to play catchup, Lindsay and the rest of the running backs were put on the shelf. Lindsay played just eight snaps, the third successive week with declining a snap count.

Impact It was the second straight week with one target and without a catch for Conley, who played 88 percent of the offensive snaps those two games. He and the rest of the targets suffered from poor quarterback play Sunday, as rookie QB Davis Mills threw four picks and had a 23.4 rating.

Anthony Miller - Production drops off due to QB Miller caught one of five targets for three yards in Sunday's 40-0 loss to the Bills.
Impact One week after scoring a touchdown in his season debut, Miller was not on the same page with rookie quarterback Davis Mills, who did not have a good game. He threw four interceptions and completed just 11 of 21 attempts. That's not a recipe for wideout productivity. The good news is that Miller is one of the top options in the Texans offense, with 11 targets the last two weeks, behind only Brandin Cooks.

David Johnson - Stays involved as receiver Johnson recorded five rushes for 21 yards in Sunday's Week 4 loss to the Bills. He added three receptions on four targets for 27 yards.
Impact Johnson nearly equaled Mark Ingram in carries, though Johnson out-touched Ingram thanks to his work as a receiver. The Texans' overall offensive struggles have capped individual player performances this season, and Johnson is no exception. He has yet to surpass 25 yards on the ground in a single game and has not broken 30 receiving yards despite logging multiple receptions in all but one contest this season. A matchup against New England in Week 5 isn't likely to do Johnson or the Texans' offense any favors.
