DeForest Buckner - Showing signs of progress Buckner is no longer using crutches and was wearing a brace on his ankle Sunday, James Boyd of The Athletic reports.
Impact Bucker has been on IR due to a high-ankle sprain since Sept. 17. His lack of crutches would suggest the Oregon product is making progress in his recovery and could return as soon as he's eligible to come off injured reserve, for a Week 7 matchup with the Dolphins.

Will Mallory - Slated to make season debut Mallory is active for Sunday's game against the Steelers.
Impact Mallory has yet to play this season. With Jelani Woods (toe) on injured reserve, snaps are available at tight end in Indianapolis. However, Mallory remains behind Kylen Granson, Mo Alie-Cox and Drew Ogletree on the depth chart.

Impact Gould appeared in each of the Colts' first three games, operating primarily as a return man. However, with Josh Downs back in the mix, Gould is the odd man out in the Colts' wideout corps.

Chris Lammons - Cleared for action Lammons (ankle/knee) is active for Sunday's game against the Steelers.
Impact After not practicing Wednesday or Thursday, Lammons logged a full practice Friday and will be good to go for Week 4. With Kenny Moore (hip) inactive, Lammons could see a larger role versus Pittsburgh, but Jaylon Jones (90), Dallis Flowers (41) and Samuel Womack (28) all saw way more defensive snaps than Lammons (seven) did last week.

Impact After logging a full practice Wednesday, Lewis didn't practice Thursday or Friday. However, the veteran will still get the green light for Week 4. With Kwity Paye (quadricep) and DeForest Buckner (ankle - IR) unavailable, Lewis needs to step up for the Colts' depleted defensive line.

Impact Lewis was a full participant in Wednesday's session but was listed as DNP on Thursday and Friday. With Kwity Paye (quadriceps) already ruled out, the Colts could use Lewis' presence off the edge. Dayo Odeyingbo and Laiatu Latu are next up in the rotation off the edge for Indy. Lewis has 15 tackles (10 solo), including 1.0 sacks, through three games.
