Impact After previously having missed time with an ankle injury, the 30-year-old was activated from injured reserve at the start of the week, but he was immediately shifted to the COVID-19 list as a high-risk close contact of an infected person or persons. Having since cleared all health-related protocols, Brown will rejoin the Bills for Sunday's regular-season finale, spelling an end to a five-game absence. While Brown should rejoin the starting lineup at receiver alongside Stefon Diggs and one of Cole Beasley (ankle) or Gabriel Davis, but all of the Bills' primary wideouts could be rested to some degree during the Week 17 contest with Buffalo locked in as either the AFC's No. 2 or 3 seed in the playoffs.

Moves to COVID-19 list from IR Brown (ankle) was activated from injured reserve Monday but has now been placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list, the Bills' official site reports.
Impact Brown and two practice squad members -- Christian Wade and Josh Thomas -- have been placed on COVID-19 lists as close contacts to Bills running back T.J. Yeldon, who was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 on Sunday after testing positive. Brown obviously won't be returning for the Monday night matchup with the Patriots, while Gabriel Davis once again should see extra looks in what's proven to be a potent offense for most of the season, even without last year's leading receiver for much of it. Brown has only played eight games to date, and some of those have been partial appearances.

Impact Since Brown has been on IR for the Bills' last three games, the wideout would have first been eligible to return to the active roster this week, but he apparently still needs more time to get his conditioning back in order. The fact that the Bills cleared Brown to practice Tuesday is at least tangible sign that he's made progress in his recovery from the right ankle injury, and he'll now look to ramp up his activity over the next week with the hope of returning to the lineup for Buffalo's Dec. 28 matchup with the Patriots.
