Impact Akins drew the start at tight end with David Njoku (ankle) sidelined. The Browns elevated Blake Whiteheart from the practice squad for the game, and he played 24 snaps behind Akins (35 snaps). Akins has caught four of five targets for 37 yards through two weeks. While a healthy Njoku is a key part of the passing attack -- he was targeted five times before leaving Week 1's loss to the Cowboys -- Akins is not expected to see that level of volume even as a starter.
