Impact With Miles Sanders (ankle) officially on injured reserve, Howard enters a possibly prominent role in an Eagles backfield that essentially has two multi-dimensional threats in the form of Kenneth Gainwell and Boston Scott but no prototypical between-the-tackles option. Both Gainwell and Scott are easily the more electric backs, but if the Eagles stubbornly insist on grinding out yardage, Howard profiles as the preferred option and could even be the clear-cut goal line back immediately. That translates to a complicated backfield that could simply make for a mess of a fantasy situation, especially if the road favorites jump out to an early lead against the Lions.
