Draws preseason start Jordan Howard started Thursday's 24-16 preseason loss to the Steelers, which bodes well for his chances of making the team, E.J. Smith of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports. Impact With Miles Sanders a healthy scratch, Howard played the first series, rushing once for three yards and also doing a nice job of pass blocking. Boston Scott got the second series, while Jason Huntley, Kenneth Gainwell, and Kerryon Johnson finished the rest of the game. Howard and Scott getting reps with the starters could mean that they are ahead of the rest for a roster spot, most likely leaving just one other job in the Eagles' backfield available.
