Impact Butker was unable to practice last week before missing his second straight game, but his return to work Wednesday offers encouragement that he'll be able to kick this weekend against the Buccaneers in the absence of any setbacks. If Butker isn't ready to play Week 4, Matthew Wright is a candidate to be elevated from Kansas City's practice squad to handle kicking duties.

Impact Hardman didn't possess an injury tag leading up to the contest but notably was limited in practice during the week because of a heel issue. Even so, Hardman logged a season-high 43 snaps (69 percent) Sunday as the Chiefs struggled to move the ball on offense. Even with turnover at the wide receiver position from Tyreek Hill and Demarcus Robinson, Hardman has actually claimed fewer targets per game so far in 2022 (3.7) than he did last season (4.9).

Impact Gray's 26-yard catch and run with less than a minute left in the third quarter marked the longest reception through his first two seasons in the NFL. With snap shares ranging between 42 and 55 percent in each of the three games the Chiefs have played this season, Gray has carved out a larger role than anticipated behind top tight end Travis Kelce. Head coach Andy Reid hasn't been shy about having Gray and Kelce share the field together, but Gray typically functions as a blocker in those scenarios.
