Impact Edwards-Helaire had an exact split with Jerick McKinnon with respect to carries, but only the latter actually netted any positive yardage. CEH did make up for the lack of rushing production with a co-team-high reception tally, and he's compiled 12 receptions in three games. Edwards-Helaire has yet to log double-digit carries, however, and he could be in a fairly even timeshare again with McKinnon in a Week 4 road battle against the Buccaneers.

Impact Smith-Schuster led the Chiefs in receptions and receiving yards while tying for the team lead in targets. The veteran's yardage tally was also his best of his first three games in Kansas City, and he now has a pair of eight-target tallies during that span as well. Smith-Schuster's 53-yard reception was a game-long grab as well, making it a solid all-around day for the ex-Steeler. Smith-Schuster appears to have solid rapport with Patrick Mahomes early, giving him a positive fantasy outlook despite a tough Week 4 road matchup against the Buccaneers.

Impact The All-Pro tight end secured his second touchdown of the season late in the first quarter with a three-yard grab, but he had a relatively quiet day overall by his standards as Patrick Mahomes targeted eight different players overall. Kelce has no fewer than seven targets in any of his first three games and has collected 17 receptions overall in that span, sending him into a Week 4 road showdown against the Buccaneers with solid momentum.

Falls short on road Sunday Mahomes completed 20 of 35 passes for 262 yards with one touchdown and one interception in the Chiefs' 20-17 loss to the Colts on Sunday. He also rushed four times for 26 yards.
Impact The star signal-caller was unable to work his magic Sunday against a desperate Colts team looking for its first win. Mahomes did display some good rapport with his top two wideouts in JuJu Smith-Schuster and Marquez Valdes-Scantling, hitting the duo on nine occasions for 137 yards on 15 targets. Mahomes also connected with Travis Kelce for his one touchdown pass from three yards out late in the first quarter. However, Mahomes was directly responsible for short-circuiting his team's final chance at a win, as his final pass of the day, intended for Smith-Schuster, was picked off by Rodney McLeod at the Colts' 36-yard line with two seconds remaining.
