Impact Rice seems unlikely to entirely avoid a suspension for his off-field problems this offseason, but it doesn't appear that the league will intervene until the conclusion of the legal process -- which could occur later this year, or potentially even be delayed until 2025. As long as Rice is left eligible to take the field, he'll be locked in as a top target for quarterback Patrick Mahomes and be in prime position to build off his highly successful rookie season. The Chiefs brought in wideouts Marquise Brown (shoulder) and Xavier Worthy to join Rice and TE Travis Kelce atop the receiving corps, but neither seem especially likely to intrude on Rice's workload, as he primarily operates from the slot and on short routes.

Impact Perine, who was released as one of Denver's roster cuts Tuesday, is a proven pass-catcher and now lands in what projects to be one of the NFL's top-scoring offenses. Isiah Pacheco is firmly established atop the Chiefs' depth chart, but Clyde Edwards-Helaire (illness) and Carson Steele are surmountable competition for a depth role. Perine secured a career-high 50of 56 passes for 455 yards across 17 regular-season games with the Broncos last season, in addition to 53 carries for 238 rushing yards and one score.

Impact It was previously reported that Dallas was waiving the tight end, but the Chiefs apparently were interested and made a small offer to ensure he wouldn't land with a team that had higher waiver priority.
