Impact Alexander tested positive for the virus over the weekend and missed Monday's loss to the Dolphins, though he's now clear of the health and safety protocols. The 27-year-old had only one tackle while playing 81 percent of the defensive snaps Week 15 against Tampa Bay.

Impact Alexander will miss the Saints' game with the Dolphins on Monday as a result of testing positive for COVID. His absence will leave a hole in the Saints' linebacker unit that already has Demario Davis and Kaden Elliss on the COVID list as well. Pete Werner will likely be looking at a significant increase in work Monday.

The linebacker has seen an increased role in the past four games, playing at least 74 percent of defensive snaps and tallying 24 tackles (20 solo) over that stretch. In nine games, Alexander has 38 tackles (30 solo), three sacks and one interception.
