Hayden Hurst - Practices in limited fashion Hurst (groin) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice.

Impact Hurst has missed back-to-back games due to a groin injury, despite being listed as questionable for both contests. Will Dissly (shoulder) didn't practice in any capacity Wednesday, but he began Week 8 the same way before suiting up versus the Saints and being targeted seven times. Hurst will have two more chances to upgrade his participation level ahead of Sunday's road matchup at Cleveland.

Impact Dissly missed practice last Wednesday and Thursday before returning to a limited session Friday and approaching Week 8 action listed as questionable. The tight end was eventually able to suit up for this past Sunday's 26-8 win over the Saints, en route to catching five of his seven targets for 41 yards. With no reported setbacks with his shoulder, it's quite possible Dissly's Wednesday 'DNP' was maintenance-related. Meanwhile, fellow TE Hayden Hurst (groin) -- who has missed two straight games -- was limited in the Chargers' first practice ahead of this weekend's game against the Browns.

DJ Chark Jr. - Limited in practice Wednesday Chark (groin) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice.

Impact Chark has been regularly listed as limited since having his 21-day practice window opened. The veteran wide receiver hasn't yet played this season, but he should be nearing a return and might possibly even be a candidate to suit up for Sunday's road game against the Browns. Chark will need to be fully activated from IR before being eligible to make his Chargers debut, however.

Ladd McConkey - Limited practice Wednesday McConkey (hip) was limited at practice Wednesday.

Impact McConkey continues to manage a hip issue, but with no reported setbacks in this past Sunday's win over the Saints, a game in which he caught all six of his targets for 111 yards and two touchdowns, his listed limitations Wednesday are likely maintenance-related. McConkey now has two more chances to upgrade his practice participation (and in turn avoid a Week 9 injury designation) ahead of this weekend's game against the Browns.

Quentin Johnston - Logs limited practice Johnston (ankle) was limited at practice Wednesday.

Impact Johnston has missed back-to-back contests, but his ability to continue to practice in a limited fashion offers hope that he could return to action Sunday against the Browns. Once he's cleared to play again, Johnston will bolster a Chargers wideout corps that also features Ladd McConkey (hip) and Joshua Palmer. In the five games he's suited up for this season, Johnston has hauled in 14 of his 22 targets for 164 yards and three TDs.

Kristian Fulton - Opens week as DNP Fulton (hamstring) didn't participate in Wednesday's practice.

Impact Fulton exited the Chargers' Week 8 win over the Saints after sustaining a hamstring injury in the third quarter, so missing Wednesday's practice comes as no surprise. The 26-year-old cornerback likely needs to upgrade to at least limited participation by Friday in order to have a chance at suiting up in Week 9's matchup against the Browns. If he's unable to do so, expect Dicaprio Bootle to see increased work with Los Angeles' first-team secondary.

Brenden Rice - Dealing with shoulder injury Rice (shoulder) was listed as a limited practice participant Wednesday.

Impact Rice was a healthy scratch for the Chargers' Week 8 game against the Saints. It's unclear when he injured his shoulder, but it caused him to be limited during Wednesday's practice session. The rookie seventh-round pick will have two more chances this week to increase his practice participation before Sunday's game against the Browns.

Stone Smartt - Dealing with ankle issue Smartt (ankle) didn't practice Wednesday.

Impact Smartt failed to record a stat while playing 16 special-teams snaps in the Chargers' Week 8 win over the Saints, but it now appears he picked up an ankle injury in the process. The third-year tight end from Old Dominion will almost certainly need to upgrade to at least limited participation Thursday or Friday to play in Sunday's matchup in Cleveland.

Derius Davis - Returns to practice Wednesday Davis (hamstring) was listed as a limited practice participant on the Chargers' injury report Wednesday.

Impact Davis has been sidelined for the Chargers' last two regular-season games due to a hamstring injury. He wasn't able to practice all of last week, so his ability to return to the field Wednesday -- albeit in a limited capacity -- is a step in the right direction. Davis will have two more chances this week to increase his practice participation ahead of Sunday's game against Cleveland.

Joey Bosa - Opens week as limited participant Bosa (hip) was a limited practice participant Wednesday.

Impact Bosa returned from a three-game absence this past Sunday against the Saints, though he played just 18 defensive snaps and did not record a tackle. The 2016 first-round pick is still working through a hip injury he picked up in Week 3 against the Steelers, so his limited practice participation to open the week is to be expected. Bosa should be good to go against the Browns on Sunday as long as he's able to practice in at least a limited capacity over the next two days.

Despite leading the wide receiver corps in snaps, the 26-year-old was a complete non-factor against the Saints. The Chargers identity as a run-first team has shifted a bit in recent weeks, but not enough to support multiple wide receivers for fantasy purposes. With Ladd McConkey beginning to break out and Quentin Johnston's (ankle) impending return, Fehoko will remain far off the fantasy radar going forward. The Chargers will visit the Browns in Week 9.

Kimani Vidal - Minimal production in Week 8 Vidal rushed six times for 16 yards in Sunday's 26-8 win over the Saints.

Impact Vidal played just 11 of the Chargers 66 offensive snaps Sunday, while starter J.K. Dobbins handled the majority of snaps (54) at running back against the Saints. Vidal has totaled just 13 rushes for 37 yards in three games, operating as the Chargers No. 2 back with Gus Edwards (ankle) on injured reserve. Edwards could return in Week 10, though there has been no update on whether or not he'll be ready by then. With that said, Vidal holds little fantasy value at this stage, especially with Edwards potentially returning soon. The rookie would need an injury to Dobbins to gain fantasy relevance going forward.
