Jalen Guyton - Falling behind for No. 3 job? Fellow Chargers wideouts Josh Palmer and Tyron Johnson (foot) have outplayed Guyton through the first week of training camp, Daniel Popper of The Athletic reports. Impact The three are competing to be the Chargers' No. 3 receiver, a role Guyton handled for most of last season, though he drew only 55 targets on 920 offensive snaps. While the team could get its third wideout more involved now that TE Hunter Henry is gone, the role still figures to entail a lot of blocking and clear-out routes. The blocking aspect might work in Guyton's favor, but Johnson is probably the better deep threat and Palmer is the only one the Chargers have really invested in (he's a rookie third-round pick).
