Impact Badgley had one more week of practice squad elevation, but the Lions opted to cement the status of their starting kicker. The well-traveled kicker has now converted all six of his attempts across three games combined with the Bears and Lions this season.

Moves back to practice squad Badgley reverted to the Lions' practice squad Monday, per the NFL's transaction log.
Impact Badgley was elevated by Detroit for the second week in a row ahead of Sunday's loss to Dallas, making both of his field-goal attempts in the contest. The 27-year-old has now made all six of his attempts in three combined games between the Bears and Lions this season. Badgley is now eligible for one more practice-squad elevation before requiring a full spot on the active roster to continue suiting up for Detroit this season.

Impact Badgley converted field goals from 40 and 53 yards out in what amounted to Detroit's only points of the game. However, Detroit's five offensive turnovers prevented the team from ending any other drives on a positive note. It will be interesting to see if the healthy returns of D'Andre Swift (shoulder) and possibly Amon-Ra St. Brown (concussion) will help the offense get back on track in Week 8 against Miami.

Impact Badgley seemed to be in a good spot for fantasy production after taking over kicking duties for a team that led the league in many offensive categories entering the week. However, the Lions had zero luck getting into scoring range and ultimately went 0-for-6 on fourth downs. Badgley could have had a couple of chances to score points in the second half, but the Detroit coaching staff seemingly saw no point in kicking field goals after a certain point. The entire offense will look to regroup during a Week 6 bye before getting back on track within the indoor confines of AT&T stadium in Week 7.

Impact Badgley spent three years with the Chargers before splitting time between the Colts and Titans last season. The Lions signed him to the practice squad Tuesday after cutting Dominik Eberle, who was a disaster filling in for an injured Seibert in the Week 4 loss to Seattle. Impact The Bears still have Santos listed as questionable despite the fact he's not traveling with the team to New York, but given the move to immediately elevate Badgley from the practice squad, it sure seems as if the veteran will make his 2022 debut for Chicago. Badgley played in 13 games last season with the Colts and Titans, converting 18 of his 22 tries. With possible rainy conditions on the horizon, don't expect the 27-year-old to have a ton of opportunities if he does ultimately end up starting Sunday.

Impact At the start of the second quarter, Badgley left a 53-yard attempt short. However, he bounced back to nail a 41-yard field goal as time expired in the first half. He then capped off a 10-play, 56-yard drive with a 37-yard attempt that gave the Colts a 15-13 lead at the end of the third quarter.
