Impact Badgley started the season with the Titans but was let go after a poor Week 1 performance in which he missed his lone field-goal attempt and one of two PAT tries. Despite his accuracy issues, Badgley has some upside in this favorable matchup for the Colts offense. If he proves serviceable, Badgley could see more opportunities in the event Blankenship's absence stretches beyond Week 6.

Impact Badgley missed his only field-goal attempt with the Titans in Week 1 before being promptly cut by the team. The 26-year-old may not have to wait long for his next opportunity, however, as the Colts could elevate him to the roster for Sunday's game against the Texans if top kicker Rodrigo Blankenship (hip) isn't available.

Impact The third-year kicker might be on thin ice after posting the third-worst field-goal percentage among kickers who attempted 30 or more field goals this season. Missed game winners and extra points plagued Badgley throughout the season to the point where head coach Anthony Lynn repeatedly questioned his kicker's confidence in post-game pressers. What's worse, the 25-year-old's trademark big leg was nowhere to be found as Badgley connected on just two of his six attempts from 50-plus yards, bringing his career total to a paltry 3-of-9. Los Angeles will almost surely bring in some form of competition during the offseason in an effort to fix its long-standing issues with special teams.

Impact For as dreadful of a season the Chargers' special teams has had, it was nice to see them reverse fortune for at least one week. For just the second time in the last six weeks, Badgley converted two field goals, including the game-winning attempt from 43 yards out and the kicker connected on all of his extra-point attempts. Whether Sunday's game-winner will boost Badgley's confidence or just simply be one bright spot in a dreary year remains to be seen, but the 25-year-old will get a chance to add to the story Thursday in a solid matchup against the Raiders.
