Impact Darrisaw's will miss the remainder of the 2024 season following Thursday night's injury. The Oklahoma State product had been playing like one of the best offensive tackles in football through the Vikings' first eight games, and he had signed a four-year, $113 million extension with the team this past offseason. With Darrisaw sidelined, expect David Quessenberry to take over protecting Sam Darnold's blindside for the rest of the year.

T.J. Hockenson - Activated from PUP list Vikings head coach Kevin O'Connell announced Friday that Hockenson (knee) has been reinstated from the PUP list.

Impact In a corresponding move, Minnesota placed left tackle Christian Darrisaw (knee) on injured reserve to clear a spot on the 53-man roster for Hockenson. After suffering ACL and MCL tears last December and undergoing surgery on his right knee in January, Hockenson was sidelined for the start of the season before he was cleared to practice Oct. 4. With his 21-day evaluation window officially closing Friday, the Vikings added Hockenson back to the roster in anticipation that he'll be ready to make his 2024 debut next Sunday versus the Colts. Considering that Hockenson hadn't advanced beyond limited participation since he resumed practicing earlier this month, he'll likely need to put in at least one full practice during the upcoming week before the Vikings officially clear him to play against Indianapolis.

Impact Smith logged his best tackling day of the season during Minnesota's loss to Los Angeles in Week 8, while playing 100 percent of defensive snaps. The veteran safety's strong floor as a run stopper makes him a viable fantasy option in IDP formats, especially given that he retains an every-down role heading into the Viking's home matchup against the Colts in Week 9.

The veteran linebacker's playmaking ability makes him a high-upside IDP fantasy option, and he faces three upcoming favorable matchups against the Colts, Jaguars, and Titans.

Johnny Mundt - Just one reception in loss Mundt had one reception for ten yards on his only target in Thursday's loss to the Rams.

Impact Mundt was intergral in the offense by playing on 31 of the offense's 50 snaps and went out on 17 routes, according to Pro Football Focus. However, Mundt could see a reduced role as early as next week if T.J. Hockenson returns from a knee injury against the Colts.

Jalen Nailor - Two receptions in loss Nailor had two receptions for 16 yards on four targets in Thursday's loss to the Rams.

Impact Nailor was second on the team in targets and played on 21 of the offense's 50 snaps. He's stayed involved in moving to the third receiver role, however his role also could be reduced if T.J. Hockenson is able to return from a knee injury in a Week 9 matchup against the Colts.

Trent Sherfield Sr. - Catches TD in loss Sherfield had a 10-yard touchdown reception on his only target in Thursday's loss to the Rams.

Impact Despite the touchdown, Sherfield has a minimal role in the passing game. He played just three snaps on offense and has just five targets this season. His touchdown likely won't earn him more playing time as the No. 4 wide receivers barring injuries in the receiving corps.

Josh Oliver - Two receptions in loss Oliver had two receptions for 30 yards on two targets in Thursday's loss to the Rams.

Impact Oliver is mostly a blocking tight end as he has just six receptions in seven games. T.J. Hockenson's return early as Week 9 from a knee injury will limit Oliver's limited upside in the passing offense.

Ty Chandler - Just two snaps on offense Chandler played just two snaps on offense and didn't have a carry or target in Thursday's loss to the Rams.

Impact It was thought that Chandler would get a significant number of touches in the backfield to keep Aaron Jones fresh this season, but that hasn't been the case the last two games. Chandler has played just eight snaps on offense the past two games. He's likely to be more involved in the second half of the season and the Vikings won't hesitate to give him a large role if Jones is hurt, but he may be a distant second option in the meantime.

Reichard has hit from as far as 58 yards, but he wasn't challenged Thursday, as his longest kick was still in chip-shot range at 35 yards.
