Blake Proehl - Returns to active roster Proehl (knee) was activated from the reserve/PUP list Monday.

Impact Proehl was forced to sit out the first four weeks of the season after being placed on the reserve/PUP list in August. The undrafted wideout was then designated to return Oct. 5, and he will now be eligible to make his NFL debut starting with Sunday's game against the Cardinals. Proehl missed the entirety of his rookie campaign after tearing his ACL in training camp last year, and he should slot in near the bottom of Minnesota's depth chart alongside wideouts Jalen Nailor and Jalen Reagor.

Impact Jones saw a large increase in playing time (38 snaps) on defense with D.J. Wonnum out with an illness and showed a spark in the pass rush. The 2021 third-round pick could become more a part of the rotation as a result.

Jordan Hicks - Has 11 tackles in win Hicks had 11 total tackles, a sack, and a pass defensed in Sunday's win at Miami.

Impact Hicks is averaging 9.75 total tackles with a sack over his last four games. It looks like he'll continue to generate high tackle totals in Minnesota's 3-4 scheme.

K.J. Osborn - Just three receptions Sunday Osborn had three receptions for 18 yards in Sunday's win at Miami.

Impact Osborn played on a season-low 58 percent of the offense's snaps but still had five targets. Minnesota generated just 175 yards passing as the offense sputtered early. Unfortunately, the focus on top targets Justin Jefferson and Adam Thielen rarely leaves much for the third receiver in the Vikings offense.

Impact Joseph's field goal was good from 34 yards as the the first half came to an end Sunday, getting the kicker back on track after he went 0-for-2 on field goals in Week 5. The kicker did miss a PAT on Sunday, his second missed extra point this season. Overall, Joseph has gone 9-for-13 on field goals while making 12 out of 14 PAT tries through six games.

Irv Smith Jr. - Finds end zone in win Smith brought in all four targets for seven yards and a touchdown in the Vikings' 24-16 win over the Dolphins on Sunday.

Impact The athletic tight end recorded his second consecutive four-catch tally, and although he produced his second-lowest yardage total of the season, he partly made up for it with a one-yard touchdown grab in the second quarter. The score was Smith's second of the season,, and after sitting out all of last season following knee surgery, the 24-year-old has has been encouragingly consistent while producing an 18-140-2 tally following a blanking in the opener.

Adam Thielen - Finds end zone in win Thielen brought in four of eight targets for 36 yards and a touchdown in the Vikings' 24-16 win over the Dolphins on Sunday.

Impact Thielen once again generated a modest yardage total, but he made up for it by securing his second touchdown grab of the season on a two-yard catch early in the fourth quarter. The veteran continues to mostly be stuck in a short-area role -- he's averaging a career-low 9.8 yards per reception -- but Thielen's route-running savvy and chemistry with Kirk Cousins will continue affording him plenty of fantasy viability in a Week 8 home matchup against the Cardinals following a Week 7 bye.

Kirk Cousins - Two touchdowns in win Cousins completed 20 of 30 passes for 175 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions in the Vikings' 24-16 win over the Dolphins on Sunday. He also netted minus-5 yards on two...

Impact Cousins stayed away from turnovers, but he also averaged just 5.8 yards per attempt and took three sacks. A significant chunk of his yardage tally came on a 47-yard pass to Justin Jefferson late in the third quarter that set up a two-yard touchdown toss to Adam Thielen two plays later. Cousins' other scoring connection came with Irv Smith from one yard out in the second quarter, and he's now posted a trio of two-touchdown efforts in his first six games in new head coach Kevin O'Connell's system. He'll aim to boost his yardage totals back up in a Week 8 Monday night home matchup against the Bears following a Week 7 bye.

Dalvin Cook - Salvages day with long TD Cook rushed 13 times for 77 yards and a touchdown and brought in his only target for six yards in the Vikings' 24-16 win over the Dolphins on Sunday.

Impact Cook was having a positively pedestrian day against an active Dolphins run defense until he shook loose for a 53-yard touchdown run two plays after the defense recovered a Jaylen Waddle fumble late in the fourth quarter. The score, Cook's fourth of the year overall, turned out to be the difference in the game after Miami scored a late touchdown, and the yardage tally was Cook's fourth straight of greater than 70 yards. He'll aim to finally eclipse the century mark when the Vikings return to action for an Oct. 30, Week 8 home matchup versus the Cardinals following a Week 7 bye.

Impact Jefferson paced the Vikings in receptions and receiving yards while co-leading the team in targets. The third-year star's biggest play of the day came at a critical juncture, a 47-yard catch and run down the right side of the field on the last play of the third quarter with Minnesota clinging to a 10-3 lead. Jefferson will carry a streak of three consecutive 100-yard efforts -- as well as a five-game touchdown drought -- into a Week 8 home matchup against the Cardinals following a Week 7 bye.

Impact Mattison picked up a shoulder injury during the Vikings' Week 5 win over the Bears and was limited at each practice ahead of Week 6, earning him a questionable designation. As expected, the backup running back will be available, but it's unclear how much work he'll get behind Dalvin Cook. Mattison turned a season-high 12 touches into 40 scrimmage yards last week and has totaled 37 touches for 154 yards and two scores across five appearances this year.

Alexander Mattison - Likely to play Mattison (shoulder), officially listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Dolphins, is expected to play, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.

Impact Mattison logged limited practices all week after suffering the injury in Minnesota's Week 5 win over Chicago. He earned a season-high 12 touches in that game but could see his workload scaled back in Week 6, given that he's nursing the shoulder injury along with the fact that Dalvin Cook is further removed from his own dislocated left shoulder, which he suffered Week 3. Mattison's status will become official when Minnesota releases its inactive list 90 minutes prior to Sunday's 1 p.m. ET kickoff.
