Impact Though he won the starting job coming out of the preseason, Brissett never looked to be in line for a long-term stay atop the depth chart after the Patriots selected Maye with the No. 3 overall pick in April's draft. After Brissett presided over an offense that ranks 31st in the league with averages of 250.8 yards and 12.4 points per game, not to mention a 1-4 record, the Patriots are now ready to turn the keys over to Maye. Brissett will slide back into the familiar No. 2 role he's occupied across multiple stops in his NFL career, and if Maye stays healthy and provides a lift to the offense, the Patriots could even explore moving the 31-year-old veteran to a quarterback-needy team ahead of the Nov. 5 trade deadline. Listed at 6-foot-4 and 225 pounds, Maye boasts an ideal frame for a quarterback and is blessed with a strong arm and good mobility, but his fantasy upside could be limited in 2024 due to the Patriots' shaky offensive line and dearth of high-quality pass-catching threats.

Impact Pettus filled in for the inactive Jabrill Peppers (shoulder/personal) versus Miami and played 69 percent of the defensive snaps. The nine tackles were the first nine of Pettus' career after going undrafted out of Troy. With Peppers facing legal troubles, Pettus could be in for an extended stay in the starting lineup.

Impact Gonzalez picked off Tyler Huntley on a pass intended for Odell Beckham in the first quarter. It was Gonzalez's first interception of the season and the second of his career after appearing in just four games as a 2023 first-round rookie. On the season, Gonzalez has 23 tackles (21 solo) and three pass breakups, including the one interception, through five contests.

"So what they're gonna try to do is put a -- now this is someone who didn't graduate college trying to explain -- but they're gonna try to put a sheath over this and hopefully the muscles regrow. It's not 100%, but it gives me the best shot to continue my football career and that's all I can ask for." Andrews turned 32 back in July and wants to continue his playing career next season. Impact With K.J. Osborn (shoulder) inactive, Boutte, who caught both of his targets in the contest for 34 yards, saw his most extensive playing time to date in Week 5, effectively overtaking fellow WR Tyquan Thornton in the pecking order. However, once Kendrick Bourne -- who was eased back into action Sunday -- starts seeing more playing time and/or Osborn returns, Boutte figures to see limited opportunities in the Patriots offense.

Impact For the third straight game and fourth time in five contests overall, Henry caught two passes, this time around on four targets for 32 yards. Henry's eight-catch effort in Week 2 thus stands out as an outlier, though the tight end's steady playing time does at least keep him involved in the Patriots passing attack on a weekly basis.

Ja'Lynn Polk - Logs six targets Sunday Polk was on the field for all 60 of the Patriots' snaps on offense in Sunday's 15-10 loss to the Dolphins, Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports.
Impact Though the final box score shows Polk catching one of his six target for 13 yards, it's worth noting that the wideout's apparent 12-yard TD catch with 1:08 remaining in the contest was overturned (via application of the 'toe-heel' rule) after instant-replay review. Over his last two games, Polk has seen his snaps increase and has been targeted 13 times. Though that's only resulted in a combined four catches for 43 yards in that span, the 2024 second-rounder is a player who could pick up the pace in the coming weeks, if the Patriots passing game gains more consistency helmed by either veteran QB Jacoby Brissettor rookie first-rounder Drake Maye.

Impact All three components of Douglas' receiving line were team highs. Douglas benefitted from the absence of No. 2 receiver K.J.
