Impact Brissett put together another middling passing performance overall, mustering his straight sub-170-yard tally to open the campaign. Brissett also failed to throw a touchdown for the third time in five contests, although he did see what could have been a game-winning scoring strike to Ja'Lynn Polk reversed on replay when it was ruled the receiver did not bring down his heel inbounds. Head coach Jerod Mayo appears steadfast in his commitment to not expose rookie Drake Maye too early considering his team's offensive-line issues, so Brissett appears likely to start a Week 6 home matchup against the Texans.

Antonio Gibson - Fills complementary role in start Gibson rushed six times for 52 yards and brought in his only target for four yards in the Patriots' 15-10 loss to the Dolphins on Sunday. He also returned one kickoff for 24 yards.
Impact Gibson opened the game as the starter with Rhamondre Stevenson briefly demoted due to early-season fumbling issues. Howeve, by game's end, Stevenson had doubled up Gibson in carries and had seen quadruple the number of his teammate's targets as well. Nevertheless, Gibson performed admirably with the rushing opportunities he did see, recording the second-longest rush of the day in the process. Given Stevenson's strong performance Sunday, Gibson figures to remain in a complementary role when New England welcomes in the Texans for a Week 6 home battle.

Rhamondre Stevenson - Bounces back after brief demotion Stevenson rushed 12 times for 89 yards and a touchdown and brought in all four targets for three yards in the Patriots' 15-10 loss to the Dolphins on Sunday.
Impact Stevenson didn't open the game as a starter due to his early-season fumbling issues, but he was ultimately able to put together his most impressive showing since his 120-yard, one-touchdown effort in Week 1. Stevenson rattled off a game-long 33-yard run for a touchdown late in the first quarter for the Patriots' first points, and he averaged just over 5.0 yards per carry on his other 11 totes. The third-year back did get briefly shaken up in the fourth quarter per Andrew Callahan of the Boston Herald, but Stevenson did reenter the game for a play and said after the contest he does not expect to miss any time. Stevenson and the Patriots next welcome in the Texans for a Week 6 matchup.
