Jacoby Brissett - Still the starter Coach Jerod Mayo said Monday that Brissett remains the Patriots' starting quarterback, Taylor Kyles of CLNSMedia.com reports. Impact Brissett is coming off another ugly loss, this time completing 19 of 32 pass attempts for 168 yards, one touchdown and one interception (a pick-six) in New England's 30-13 defeat by the 49ers in Week 4. He also rushed twice for three yards and one fumble. That actually constituted a step up from Brissett's performance in Week 3, in which he was held to 98 passing yards without a touchdown in a loss to the Jets. Mayo stated that he will "always reserve the right to do something else" and is "always going to do what's best for the organization," per Doug Kyed of the Boston Herald, but the Patriots aren't ready to turn to rookie first-round pick Drake Maye yet. Brissett will get another chance to line up under center during Sunday's divisional matchup against the Dolphins at home.
