Jamaal Williams - Logs five touches versus Atlanta Williams logged three rushes for 11 yards and caught all two targets for eight yards during Sunday's 26-24 defeat to the Falcons.
Impact Williams once again played sparingly behind starting running back Alvin Kamara. The 29-year-old backup has only had a significant role during garbage time in back-to-back blowout wins Weeks 1 and 2. Instead, Taysom Hill has been the No. 2 rushing option when healthy for the Saints. Hill logged six carries for 24 yards and two touchdowns before sitting out the entire second half with a ribs injury. Yet, Williams still logged zero carries and just two targets during the second half. His lack of usage when Hill has been injured over the last two weeks is a real indictment for Williams' production moving forward. His next game will come versus the Chiefs on Monday, Oct. 7.

Foster Moreau - Sees decreased playing time Week 4 Moreau accrued zero targets during Sunday's 26-24 defeat against the Falcons.
Impact Moreau played a season-low 57 percent of offensive snaps after playing at 71 percent in each of the previous three games. The 27-year-old has been listed as the Saints' starting tight end so far this season, but he was overshadowed by Juwan Johnson this week, as the latter logged two catches on three targets while playing 67 percent of offensive snaps. Moreau has now totaled two targets since his four-catch performance against Carolina in Week 1. It's unlikely that he'll get significantly more playing time during the Saints' next game versus the Chiefs on Monday, Oct. 7.

Juwan Johnson - Breaks catchless streak Johnson caught two of three targets for 13 yards during Sunday's 26-24 loss to the Falcons.
Impact Johnson logged his first targets since the season opener versus Carolina. The 6-foot-4 tight end also would have finished with one more target and catch, as he had a 28-yard catch wiped off the board by an offensive holding penalty early third quarter. The 6-foot-4 tight end looked like a total non-factor and was overshadowed for playing time by Foster Moreau over the last two weeks. But, Johnson played a season-high 67 percent of offensive snaps compared to 57 percent for Moreau in Week 4. Neither Johnson nor Moreau has had a consistent role in the receiving game so far this season, combining for 12 total targets over four games. There's not much reason to expect that their roles will increase during their next game versus Kansas City on Monday, Oct. 7.

Blake Grupe - Perfect on kicking attempts Week 4 Grupe nailed his only field goal attempt and all three of his extra-point tries during Sunday's 26-24 defeat versus Atlanta.
Impact Grupe has now converted all nine of his field-goal attempts through the first four games of the season. His only miss this year came on a blocked PAT during a 44-19 win against the Cowboys in Week 2. The second-year kicker is off to a good start after he went 30-for-37 on field-goal tries over 17 games last season. He'll look to keep it up during next week's road matchup against the Chiefs on Monday, Oct. 7.

Impact The speedster posted nearly identical numbers through the air as Chris Olave (8-87-0 on 10 targets), but no one Saints wideout or tight end managed more than 13 receiving yards. It was an impressive bounce-back effort from Shaheed after he was held without a catch the week before, and Sunday's receptions and targets were both season highs for him. The Saints' narrow route tree has Shaheed on pace for a career year with a 15-252-2 line on 25 targets through four contests, but he may need to come up big again in Week 5 against Kansas City.

Impact Mathieu left midway through the fourth quarter of Sunday's 26-24 loss to the Falcons due to a groin injury. The 2013 third-round pick told reporters after the game that he had a calf injury earlier in the season and entered Sunday's contest with a lingering heel injury. The Saints will have an extra day's rest heading into their next game against the Chiefs on Oct. 7, and given the myriad of lower-body injuries, Mathieu could be limited or held out of practices leading up to that contest. Through the first four games of the regular season, he's registered 17 tackles (16 solo) and one interception.

Kamara will look to keep rolling in Week 5 against Kansas City.

Impact The Saints did all their scoring on the ground, as Taysom Hill (ribs) punched in two first-half rushing TDs before Alvin Kamara added one late. After an explosive performance against the Panthers in Week 1, Carr has a less impressive 3:3 TD:INT over the last three contests, and he has yet to reach 250 passing yards in a game in 2024. The veteran QB may need to be a lot more productive to keep his team competitive in Week 5 against Kansas City.

Taysom Hill - Officially has rib injury Coach Dennis Allen clarified after Sunday's 26-24 loss at Atlanta that Hill suffered a rib injury during the game, Katherine Terrell of ESPN.com reports.
Impact Hill already sat out Week 3 due to a chest injury, and he picked up a new health concern in the second quarter Sunday in his return to action. It's unclear if he may be in danger is missing additional time, but the other healthy and active TEs for the Saints in Week 4 were Juwan Johnson (three targets) and Foster Moreau (none).

Impact Mathieu's exit came about halfway through the fourth quarter and his accumulation of two total tackles in the contest. The veteran safety is questionable to return, although there is little time left in the game. Jordan Howden will likely step in at free safety for Mathieu.

Taysom Hill - Hurts abdomen Sunday Hill suffered an abdominal injury during Sunday's game in Atlanta, Katherine Terrell of ESPN.com reports.
Impact Hill appeared to be grabbing at his chest when he exited in the middle of the second quarter, which could have signaled an aggravation of the issue that forced him to sit out Week 3. Instead, he's dealing with a different health concern of unknown severity. Prior to leaving the contest, Hill had six carries for 24 yards and two touchdowns and wasn't targeted.

Impact Per Katherine Terrell of ESPN.com, Hill seemed to clutch at his chest as he ran to the sideline in the middle of the second quarter. After a visit to the blue medical tent, Hill then went to the locker room. He may have aggravated the chest injury that he suffered Week 2 at Dallas that kept him out last Sunday against the Eagles, something that the Saints may confirm in due time.
