No targets against Saints Cephus recorded no targets or receptions during Sunday's 35-29 loss to New Orleans.

Impact The 2020 fifth-round pick from Wisconsin played over 65 percent of the offensive snaps Weeks 1 and 2 while Pro Bowl wideout Kenny Golladay missed time with a hamstring injury. In those contests Cephus accumulated six receptions on his 13 targets, collecting 97 receiving yards. Over the past two weeks, however, Cephus has not had a pass thrown his way in the offensive attack, while playing 15 or fewer percent of the snaps in each outing. He remains a depth WR option for Detroit heading into the team's next game, which is set to take place Oct. 18 at Jacksonville.

Impact After seeing 10 targets in the season opener, Cephus predictably experienced a significant downturn in offensive involvement despite the continued absence of Kenny Golladay (hamstring). While Golladay's impending return will eventually push Cephus back to the fringes of the fantasy radar, Golladay isn't a lock to see a full workload even if he suits up for Week 3 against the Cardinals. Should Golladay sit or be limited in any way, it's worth keeping in mind that Cephus has seen more red-zone targets than any other member of the Lions receiving corps through two weeks.

Impact Without Kenny Golladay (hamstring), Cephus stepped into a huge role and finished second among all rookie receivers in Week 1 by logging 79 percent of his team's offensive snaps (62 out of 78). Meanwhile, Marvin Hall and Jamal Agnew saw 16 ot less snaps a piece. While Cephus wasn't the most efficient with his opportunities, a couple of them came in the end zone, and it's important to know the rookie can command this kind of workload when given the opportunity. If Golladay remains sidelined in Week 2, Cephus could be a sneaky play against Green Bay.

Impact Meanwhile, Danny Amendola (hamstring) is listed as questionable. Should both receivers sit this one out, Cephus, Marvin Hall, and Jamal Agnew would be left to fight for snaps behind Marvin Jones. With Agnew just recently transitioning to receiver from cornerback this summer, Cephus and Hall would be the favorites for playing time in that scenario, where Cephus profiles as a possession-type option while Hall is a deep threat. Accordingly, Cephus is probably the one who would be most affected by Amendola being cleared to play.

Impact Cephus had the worst time in the 40-yard dash among all participating receivers at this year's combine, and it doesn't sound like he's making anyone forget about that. However, Cephus's lack of speed might make it even more impressive that he was able to make a pair of big grabs against No. 3 overall pick Jeff Okudah on Tuesday.
