Brandon Aiyuk - Leads team with 107 yards Aiyuk caught six of seven targets for 107 yards in Sunday's 27-24 win over the Rams.
Impact Aiyuk played a key role in the passing game for the 49ers, delivering on a couple of big plays at the end of the first half and also in overtime to help San Francisco secure a playoff berth. The 23-year-old began his sophomore campaign in the doghouse, but he finished strong with 68.5 receiving yards per game and four touchdowns over the last 10 games of the season. Aiyuk didn't deliver on his sleeper status in 2021, but he may get another chance come draft season following his strong finish to the regular season. As for the remainder of this season, Aiyuk will play an integral role in the passing attack when the 49ers face the Cowboys next week.

Jimmy Garoppolo - Gutsy effort in win Garoppolo (thumb) completed 23 of 32 pass attempts for 316 yards, a touchdown and two interceptions in Sunday's 27-24 overtime win over the Rams.
Impact Garoppolo seemed like a longshot to suit up after tearing a ligament in the thumb of his throwing hand just two weeks ago. Head coach Kyle Shanahan rolled his starter back out there in a must-win scenario, and while it was rocky at times, the end result was an overtime win on the back of multiple clutch drives from Jimmy G and the rest of the offense. The polarizing quarterback finishes with solid results of 3,810 passing yards, 20 touchdowns and 12 interceptions on 69 percent passing while chipping in three rushing scores. Trey Lance may be the future for the 49ers, but it appears to be all systems go for Garoppolo against the Cowboys in next week's playoff matchup.

Impact Mitchell did not carry an injury designation heading into this matchup, which has been a rare occurrence during an injury-filled rookie campaign. The 2021 sixth-round pick finishes the regular season way ahead of expectations with 1,100 combined yards and six total touchdowns in 11 games. It will be very interesting to see how the 49ers treat Mitchell's role next season when the team's running-back corps heals up, as he has clearly established that he can produce as the lead rushing option in a complex offensive scheme. Assuming Mitchell doesn't land on the injury report during practice this week, the rookie will lead San Francisco's backfield in a playoff matchup against the Cowboys next week.
