Trey Lance - Strong finish in first career win Lance completed 16 of 23 pass attempts for 249 yards, two touchdowns and an interception Sunday, adding 31 yards on eight carries in a 23-7 win over Houston.
Impact Lance made his second start of the season in place of Jimmy Garoppolo (thumb), turning in a solid fantasy performance in the process. The end results may look good for the third-overall pick from this year's draft, but we didn't see the quarterback settle in until the second half. Lance had some bouts of inaccuracy -- one of the criticisms of the raw prospect -- most notably a forced throw into double coverage that resulted in his lone interception. Head coach Kyle Shanahan called a conservative game plan to protect his rookie for the majority of the contest, but when he finally opened up the playbook, we saw some of the big-play ability that excites fantasy managers. Garoppolo's status for Week 18 against the Rams is uncertain and may be another late-week decision, but Shanahan stated that Lance will be the backup if the usual starter is healthy enough to play, according to David Lombardi of The Athletic.

George Kittle - Just one reception in win Kittle caught one of two targets for 29 yards and had one carry for six yards in Sunday's 23-7 win over Houston.
Impact Kittle saw little action for the second week in a row, this time with rookie quarterback Trey Lance under center. Head coach Kyle Shanahan tried to get his star tight end involved with his third rushing attempt of the season, but it was little doing. Kittle finally got involved in the passing game late in the second half with an incredible one-handed catch for 29 yards. His only other target this game came on a poor throw into double coverage by Lance that was picked off. While this recent slump is concerning for those with Kittle shares, it would be tough to recommend bypassing such an elite playmaking talent against the Rams in Week 18.

Impact Aiyuk collected 94 of rookie Trey Lance's 249 passing yards, most of which came in the second half of this contest. Deebo Samuel and Elijah Mitchell (knee) were the recipients of Lance's two touchdown throws, but Aiyuk set up both scores with big chunk plays between the 20s. The rookie quarterback was inconsistent at times, but he eventually got the ball into most of his playmakers' hands. Jimmy Garoppolo (thumb) is considered questionable for the team's Week 18 finale against the Rams, but Aiyuk will retain modest fantasy value with either of San Francisco's potential starting quarterbacks.

Elijah Mitchell - Racks up 130 yards plus TD Mitchell (knee) rushed 21 times for 119 yards and caught both of his targets for 11 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 23-7 win over Houston.
Impact Mitchell returned from a three-game absence and did not skip a beat, producing his sixth 100-plus yard rushing game while collecting his sixth total touchdown of the season in the process. The talented rookie didn't show any residual effects from the knee or head injuries he recovered from, re-establishing himself as the 49ers' clear top back. Mitchell's fantasy managers should also be pleased with the heavy workload despite having a different style of quarterback under center. San Francisco's quarterback situation is unclear heading into the final week of the regular season, but Mitchell should remain a strong fantasy play no matter who starts under center against the Rams.
