Falls down depth chart Michel had two carries for two yards in the Rams' 23-20 win Sunday over the Bengals in Super Bowl LVI. Impact Michel saw only seven snaps, as Darrell Henderson, who was returning from a knee injury, leaped past him on the running back depth chart. Michel spent the final weeks of the regular season as the Rams' lead back, with Cam Akers missing the entire regular season due to a torn Achilles and Henderson dealing with an MCL sprain. The extra work down the stretch helped him compile 845 yards and four touchdowns on 208 carries along with 21 receptions on 33 targets for 128 yards and another touchdown. The Patriots declined the fifth-year option on Michel's rookie contract before trading him to the Rams in August, so he'll be a free agent this offseason. With Akers and Henderson already under contract for 2022, there's a good chance Michel will be looking for a new home once free agency opens in March.
