Impact The Ravens didn't give the Rams any freebies Sunday and Michel had to grind out his yardage, but fantasy investors won't mind as long as Michel gets usage like this, especially if it comes with a touchdown most weeks. With Darrell Henderson (knee) out of the picture it's almost a given that Michel maintains his volume going forward, including against the 49ers in Week 18.

Impact That's especially true with Darrell Henderson (knee) landing on IR this week, though Michel had already taken over the lead role after his teammate dealt with a thigh injury and then COVID-19. The Rams are now left with Jake Funk and special teamer Buddy Howell as their backup options, along with Cam Akers (Achilles) whenever he's ready to play (possibly as soon as this Sunday in Baltimore). While Akers could be a bigger part of the offense in the playoffs, he shouldn't take too much work from Michel in his first game back from a severe injury, be it in Week 17, Week 18 or the postseason.

Dominates backfield Michel rushed the ball 27 times for 131 yards and one touchdown in Sunday's 30-23 win over the Vikings. He added one reception for four yards.
Impact Michel dominated touches out of the Rams' backfield to begin the game, but his role as the top back was cemented when Darrell Henderson was ruled out with a knee injury. As a result, Michel earned a season-high 27 carries and racked up 135 total yards. He tallied four carries of 10 yards or more and also plunged into the end zone from one yard away to open the scoring. Michel has earned at least 20 total touches in each of his last four games and appears well positioned to be the lead back once again in Week 17 against Baltimore.

Rumbles for 92 yards Michel rushed 18 times for 92 yards in Tuesday's 20-10 win over the Seahawks. He was not targeted in the passing game.
Impact Head coach Sean McVay stated that Michel had worked his way into a timeshare with Darrell Henderson with the latter returning from the reserved/COVID-19 list this week. A low-scoring, late-lead game script for the Rams resulted in Michel receiving more touches (18 to eight). The team's midseason lull might have been a result of a lack of balance on offense, and the Rams appear to have found that balance with the power back's downhill running style. Next week's tilt against the Vikings smells like a potential shootout between two high-powered offenses with a lot on the line, so it wouldn't be surprising to see Henderson receive extra looks in those types of matchups down the stretch.
