The rookie third-round selection's pick of a Spencer Rattler pass intended for Rashid Shaheed with 4:24 remaining at the Buccaneers' 36-yard line essentially snuffed out any hope of a Saints comeback, especially since the ensuing possession culminated in Tampa Bay's final touchdown of the afternoon. Smith has quickly established himself as a playmaking presence in the team's talented secondary and is a rising IDP asset into a Week 7 home matchup against the Ravens on Monday night.

Impact Whitehead had exited the Week 5 loss to the Falcons with a groin injury that also caused him limited participation to start Week 6 prep. However, there was nary a trace of the issue in Sunday's big win, with Whitehead logging a 99.0 percent snap share (69 snaps) and finishing second in tackles to Lavonte David. Whitehead has at least six stops in all but one game this season, and the contest he fell short in was the aforementioned injury-shortened one versus Atlanta. The veteran safety remains a reliable IDP option, with his 43 total tackles putting him comfortably on pace to eclipse the career-high 97 he recorded with the Jets in 2023.

Impact McLaughlin was limited to under two field-goal tries for just the second time this season, but he was busier than ever on extra points with the Buccaneers' offense turning in a highly efficient performance. McLaughlin remains perfect on 11 field-goal attempts and has missed just one of his 20 point-after tries, laying an early foundation for a season that could be even more productive than his standout 2023 campaign.

Impact In what was his least productive game since Week 2, Otton found a way to salvage his fantasy day with his first touchdown of the campaign. The third-year tight end also logged his third-highest target total of the campaign, so despite the downturn in production, it's encouraging Otton remains a fairly consistent subject of Baker Mayfield's attention heading into a Week 7 home showdown with the Ravens next Monday night.

Seven touches as No. 3 receiver Shepard brought in three of four targets for 23 yards and rushed four times for 31 yards in the Buccaneers' 51-27 win over the Saints on Sunday.

Impact The veteran wideout remained in the No. 3 wideout role despite the return of Jalen McMillan from a two-game absence due to a hamstring injury. While Shepard's production wasn't anything to write home about fantasy-wise, it's notable the veteran logged a 75 percent snap share (58 snaps), his largest workload yet. However, Shepard could certainly see his participation rate take a hit to a degree in a Week 7 home matchup against the Ravens next Monday night with McMillan potentially returning to a larger role and Trey Palmer (concussion) also potentially set to garner active status.

Impact In his return from a two-game absence, McMillan played on only 18 percent of the offense's snaps while seeing veteran Sterling Shepard (75 percent snap share) take over the No. 3 role. The significant disparity in opportunity for the two players was likely at least partly the byproduct of McMillan being eased back into action, meaning the rookie could see a notable uptick in playing time in a Week 7 Monday night showdown against the Ravens on Oct. 21.
