Impact Davis exited Sunday's game against Kansas City due to a stinger in his shoulder, but head coach Todd Bowles relayed that his No. 1 cornerback avoided a major injury. Although the 206-pounder downgraded from a full participant in Wednesday's practice to being limited in Thursday's session, it's likely a precautionary measure to ensure Davis is ready to go Sunday against the Falcons. If the 25-year-old is unable to gain medical clearance prior to kickoff, Sean Murphy-Bunting would be the expected beneficiary for playing time in Tampa Bay's secondary behind usual starter Jamel Dean.

Impact Perriman appears to be in a better spot than he was last week, when he didn't practice at all before he was deemed inactive this past Sunday versus the Chiefs. If he's available, his potential workload will be contingent on the statuses of Chris Godwin (knee), Julio Jones (knee) and Russell Gage (hamstring), all of whom have had a cap on their reps this week like Perriman.

It thus comes as no surprise that he continues to operate under practice limitations as he tends to a knee issue. This also has been the reality for Chris Godwin (knee), Russell Gage (hamstring) and Breshad Perriman (knee/hamstring) this week, so the team's receiving corps remains in flux behind top option Mike Evans.

Impact Though Brady sat out Wednesday's session with right shoulder and right ring finger injuries, the absence ended up mirroring the regular veteran maintenance days he's expected to receive for the Buccaneers' first practice of every week this season. According to Scott Smith of the Buccaneers' official site, Brady said after Thursday's practice that his shoulder "feels great," and his ability to take every rep clears up any lingering concern about his availability for Sunday's game against the Falcons. Brady is coming off a season-best Week 4 performance in which he completed 39 of 52 pass attempts for 385 yards and three touchdowns in a loss to the Chiefs, but the Buccaneers essentially abandoned the run after falling into an early deficit. Expect a more balanced game plan Week 5, which will likely result in lesser passing volume for Brady.

Impact Brate was at least present for the practice session, as Kevin O'Donnell of Fox 13 Tampa Bay notes that the tight end was working off to the side with a trainer as he navigates the NFL's five-step concussion protocol.
