Impact Hockenson wasn't listed on Wednesday's injury report, so the extent of his participation during Friday's session should shed light on the tight end's chances of suiting up against Washington on Sunday, but for the time being question marks surround his availability. With Kenny Golladay (hip) trending in the wrong direction for Week 10, an absence on Hockenson's part could leave Detroit's pass catching corps depleted of two of its top options.

Commands eight targets Hockenson recorded five receptions on eight targets for 39 yards and a touchdown in Week 9 against the Vikings.

Impact Hockenson maintained an increased role in the absence of Kenny Golladay (hip), as only Danny Amendola commanded more targets. He worked close to the line of scrimmage and averaged only 7.8 yards per catch, with his longest reception of the day going for 11 yards. That was the cause of what was mostly an uninspiring stat line for Hockenson, one that he helped prop up with a two-yard touchdown grab late in the fourth quarter from backup quarterback Chase Daniel. Hockenson has solidified his role in the Lions' offense, logging at least six targets in each of past three games. He'll look to work deeper down the field in Week 10 against Washington.

He'll draw a juicy matchup versus a suspect Vikings pass defense this weekend, though Hockenson may have to catch passes from Chase Daniel, who would start at quarterback if Matthew Stafford isn't able to return from the reserve/COVID-19 list when first eligible Sunday.

Impact While Hockenson didn't find the end zone this past Sunday against the Colts, he otherwise had season bests across the board (seven catches for 65 yards on 10 targets). He may have been helped by Kenny Golladay's departure early in the third quarter due to a hip issue, which is expected to sideline him for at least one game. One further point to note is that if Hockenson is able to gut out his toe injury Sunday at Minnesota, he may be on the receiving end of passes from Chase Daniel after Matthew Stafford was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list Wednesday.

Impact Hockenson saw the second-most targets of his young career in a game in which he served as a quality safety valve for quarterback Matthew Stafford. While the exit of top receiver Kenny Golladay (hip) likely had something to do with his increased workload, Hockenson has been a steady contributor all season and drawing double-digit targets is certainly within his range of outcomes even on days when Golladay stays healthy. Regardless of Golladay's health, Hockenson should remain a solid option at a thin fantasy position when Detroit takes on a poor Vikings defense in Week 9.

Late TD proves to be difference Hockenson caught five of his six targets for 59 receiving yards and a touchdown during Sunday's 23-22 win against the Falcons.

Impact Hockenson snared a game-tying 11-yard touchdown pass from Matthew Stafford as time expired, with Matt Prater clinching the win for Detroit by way of a 48-yard extra point. The 2019 No. 8 overall draft choice has tallied a TD in three consecutive games, though he was held under 20 receiving yards in two of those outings. Hockenson has enjoyed a healthy workload of 5.2 targets per game, but a Week 8 matchup against Indianapolis is prohibitive. The Colts are yet to surrender a tight end TD in 2020 and also have allowed the second-fewest receptions to the position (17).
