Impact This was Gudas' first point in three games since he returned from a 10-game absence due to an upper-body injury. That lengthy absence is about the only negative on an otherwise strong season from the hard-hitting blueliner. He's racked up 17 points in 63 outings, matching his point total from 72 contests a year ago, while adding 221 hits, 148 blocked shots, 126 PIM, 85 shots on net and a plus-12 rating.

Impact Fowler has a helper in each of the last two games and four points over his last six contests. The 32-year-old continues to see heavy minutes on the Ducks' top pairing, and he's chipped in solid offense in 2023-24. Impact Strome has three helpers over his last two contests, though that increased production follows a 14-game drought. He's added 127 shots on net, 62 hits, 84 PIM and a minus-20 rating in a middle-six role with power-play time. Strome still has a chance to match his 41-point effort from last year, but both of his first two seasons with the Ducks are well below what he was able to do over four years with the Rangers.

Impact The third-period goal was Zegras' first since he returned from a broken ankle. He's earned a goal and four assists over his last five contests after taking a while to get back up to speed. The 23-year-old center has five goals, 12 points, 64 shots on net, 30 PIM and a minus-2 rating over 28 outings this season. He should be safe in a top-six role to close out the year since Mason McTavish (knee) is unlikely to recover in time to play before the Ducks' final game April 18 versus the Golden Knights.

The 30-year-old winger continues to take his career year to new heights, though he has slowed down in the second half. Vatrano is at 33 goals, 56 points, 266 shots on net, 148 hits, 74 blocked shots, 81 PIM and a minus-21 rating through 79 outings overall.

Impact Dostal made his fifth straight start, and this was his best performance in that span. He limited the Kings to an Akil Thomas goal on a broken play in the first period. Dostal improved to 13-22-3 with a 3.40 GAA and a .900 save percentage through 42 appearances. John Gibson is getting closer to a return from an upper-body injury, but it's possible Dostal could start two of the Ducks' last three games to get more experience.

Impact While the team continues to classify Mintyukov as day-to-day, the fact that he will miss his fifth consecutive game certainly would seem to indicate the defenseman is dealing with a more serious problem. At this point, Mintyukov has just four games left before the Ducks' season comes to a close.

John Gibson - Serving as backup Tuesday Gibson (undisclosed) will serve as Lukas Dostal's backup Tuesday at home against the Kings, per Derek Lee of The Sporting Tribune.
Impact Gibson hasn't had the best season, registering an .890 save percentage and a 13-26-2 record. The 30-year-old has been with the Ducks his whole career and it will be interesting to see if a trade is coming in the offseason. He will be entering his 11th season in the NHL next season.
