Troy Terry - Pockets helper in win Terry logged an assist, four PIM and two shots on goal in Sunday's 6-3 win over the Hurricanes.
Impact Terry was set for a second straight quiet game before setting up Cam Fowler's empty-net tally in the third period. Through two contests, Terry has four shots on goal and an even plus-minus rating. He's been listed on the top line early on, playing with Adam Henrique and Trevor Zegras, but the Ducks' second line has been most effective so far. Terry had 61 points in 70 outings a season ago.

Impact McTavish has three points through two games to start the campaign after scoring in Saturday's season opener. The 20-year-old center has worked alongside Ryan Strom and Frank Vatrano on the second line, which has been the Ducks' most effective forward group so far. McTavish could take a step forward in 2023-24 after posting 43 points in 80 contests as a rookie last season.

Impact Carrick made the most of his 8:15 of ice time in the contest, scoring in the first period. The 31-year-old forward is once again in a bottom-six role for the Ducks. Over the last two years, he's filled a similar role while picking up 26 points and 220 hits over 116 contests. His offense is likely to be too limited to be of use in fantasy.

Impact Mintyukov needed just two games to earn his first NHL goal and point, scoring at 12:06 of the first period. The rookie defenseman is holding down a bottom-four role, but he hasn't looked out of place yet. He's added five blocked shots, three hits, four shots on goal and a plus-1 rating over two contests. Mintyukov was selected 10th overall in the 2022 NHL Entry Draft.

Cam Fowler - One of each Sunday Fowler scored a goal, added an assist and went plus-2 in Sunday's 6-3 win over the Hurricanes.
Impact Fowler helped out on Frank Vatrano's goal at 8:31 of the first period, then potted an empty-netter in the third. The 31-year-old Fowler has played some of his best hockey over the last two years, racking up 90 points over 158 contests in that span despite the Ducks being in the depths of a rebuild. He enters 2023-24 as the team's top defenseman, so another 40-point season is within reach.

Impact Vatrano scored once in each period, capping off his hat trick with an empty-netter. The 29-year-old has played over 20 minutes in each of the first two games this season. As one of the veterans on a fairly young roster, Vatrano will likely see time in all situations. He had a career-high 41 points in 81 contests last season and could have some appeal in deeper fantasy formats for 2023-24.

Lukas Dostal - Defeats Hurricanes Dostal stopped 32 of 35 shots in Sunday's 6-3 win over the Hurricanes.
Impact In somewhat of a surprising result, Dostal was able to hold his own against a strong team while the Ducks offered plenty of support. The 23-year-old won just four of his 19 appearances last season, which was typically a combination of a poor offense and porous defense in front of him. Dostal has upside as the Ducks' potential goalie of the future, but John Gibson remains in the starting role for now. With another back-to-back next weekend, Dostal shouldn't have to wait long for his next start.

Impact Dostal will get the home opener after John Gibson was in net for Saturday's 4-1 loss to the Golden Knights. The 23-year-old Dostal won the backup job over Alex Stalock in training camp. Dostal went 4-10-3 with a 3.78 GAA and a .901 save percentage in 19 contests last season.

Jamie Drysdale - Records helper in opener Drysdale notched an assist, two shots on goal and two hits in Saturday's 4-1 loss to the Golden Knights.
Impact Drysdale missed nearly all of camp as an unsigned restricted free agent, and he hadn't played a regular-season game since Oct. 28 of last year due to a shoulder injury. Despite the long layoff, he looked solid in his 22:54 of ice time in the Ducks' opener. The 21-year-old defenseman figures to be a top-four fixture on a fairly inexperienced blue line, and that should also come with some power-play time. While he went plus-1 Saturday, he may struggle to stay positive in that category while playing for a team projected to finish near the bottom of the standings.

Impact Strome played a fair portion of 2022-23 at center, but he began this campaign at right wing on Mason McTavish's line. The Ducks' plethora of young forwards to mix in with veterans likely means forward roles will be fairly fluid throughout the campaign. Strome struggled to 41 points with 79 PIM and a minus-30 rating in 82 games with the Ducks last year. As long as he maintains a power-play role, he should have a chance to produce similar offense, though a poor plus-minus rating is likely to follow again this year.

Mason McTavish - Nets lone goal in loss McTavish scored a goal on three shots and added two hits in Saturday's 4-1 loss to the Golden Knights.
Impact McTavish broke up Adin Hill's shutout bid at 6:45 of the third period. In addition to the goal, McTavish won 10 of his 16 faceoffs, leading the Ducks in that category. The 20-year-old posted 43 points, 161 shots on net, 55 hits and 44 PIM in 80 contests last season. While the Ducks may not be that much better as a team in 2023-24, McTavish will likely grow his game a bit in his second full season.

John Gibson - Done in by defending champs Gibson allowed three goals on 37 shots in Saturday's 4-1 loss to the Golden Knights.
Impact Gibson played better than the stats indicate, but the lack of goal support continues to a major hinderance. Last season, the Ducks averaged just 2.51 goals per game, which was the second-lowest rate in the league and behind only the Blackhawks and their paltry 2.46 rate. The Ducks go right back to work Sunday for a home tilt against the Hurricanes, which makes it worth checking to see whether Gibson gets the nod again, or perhaps we'll see Anaheim's 2018 third-round pick, Lukas Dostal, between the pipes.
