Yaniv Perets - Set for promotionPerets is expected to be recalled from ECHL Norfolk on Friday, Walt Ruff of the Hurricanes' official site reports,
ImpactPerets is currently sporting a 6-8-1 record and .906 save percentage in 15 games for the Admirals. Unfortunately for the Hurricanes, the 23-year-old backstop is the only available option signed to an NHL contract as the organization currently doesn't have an AHL affiliate. Fortunately for the team, there are no back-to-backs on the short-term schedule, so Perets figures to serve primarily as the No. 2 option behind Antti Raanta.

Pyotr Kochetkov - Out indefinitelyPer Chip Alexander of The Raleigh News & Observer, Kochetkov is in concussion protocol and is out indefinitely, coach Rod Brind'Amour said Friday.
ImpactKochetkov was injured in the second period versus Anaheim on Thursday. The netminder gave up three goals on 13 shots and was not involved in the decision as the Hurricanes defeated the Ducks 6-3. Kochetkov is 11-7-3 with a 2.58 GAA and a .900 save percentage this season. Antti Raanta is expected to take over the No. 1 goaltending duties for Carolina, with Yaniv Perets as his backup in the short term.

Jakob Silfverberg - Stuck in slumpSilfverberg has gone 14 games without a point.
ImpactSilfverberg hasn't lost his place in the Ducks' lineup during the slump, as he still brings some defensive value. He has dropped to the fourth line and could be at risk of losing playing time eventually if his offense doesn't improve. The 33-year-old is on track for a career-worst season -- he has just seven points with 55 shots on net, 16 blocked shots and a minus-1 rating over 40 appearances.

Benoit-Olivier Groulx - Could see more playing timeGroulx was in the lineup for Thursday's 6-3 loss to the Hurricanes, recording two hits, a blocked shot and a minus-1 rating.
ImpactThere hasn't been a lot of room for Groulx this season, but he could get more playing time with Trevor Zegras (ankle) out 6-8 weeks. The 23-year-old Groulx hasn't gotten on the scoresheet since October 24, and he's been scratched for 18 of the 35 games since that contest in Columbus. He has one assist, 20 shots on net and 38 hits through 23 outings this season, and if he can fend off Ross Johnston for playing time, it'll likely be in a fourth-line role.
