Could play Saturday Per Conor Ryan of The Boston Globe, coach Jim Montgomery said Friday that Poitras (undisclosed) is "very close" and could play Saturday at home versus LA.
Impact Poitras led the Bruins in stretching before Friday's practice, after skating Thursday in a regular jersey during practice. Poitras has missed the opening two games of the season with his injury. Should he return against the Kings, look for the 20-year-old to center the third line, alongside Justin Brazeau and Trent Frederic.

Snags power-play assist in win Marchand recorded a power-play assist, three shots on goal, two hits and two PIM in Thursday's 6-4 win over the Canadiens.
Impact Marchand was held off the scoresheet Opening Night versus the Panthers on Tuesday. He was able to chip in by setting up Charlie McAvoy's first-period tally in Thursday's high-scoring contest. Marchand was heavily limited in preseason while recovering from multiple offseason surgeries and then battling an illness late in camp. The 36-year-old winger hasn't finished below the 60-point mark in the last nine years, but given his age and the wear and tear on his body, it wouldn't be surprising for his offense to begin to decline in 2024-25, even as he remains in a top-six role.

Opens with point streak Zacha had an assist and two shots on net in Thursday's 6-4 win over Montreal.
Impact The Bruins top line combined for the fourth goal, as the forechecking Zacha and Elias Lindholm each won puck battles that led to David Pastrnak's tally. Zacha had the primary assist, spinning away from David Savard behind the net and finding an impossibly open Pastrnak in the slot. It was the second point in as many games for Zacha, who scored in the season-opening loss to Florida.
