Getting close to return Poitras (undisclosed) practiced in a regular jersey Thursday and is getting close to returning to the lineup, Conor Ryan of The Boston Globe reports.
Impact Poitras will not play Thursday versus Montreal as he sits out his second straight game. The 20-year-old sophomore had five goals and 10 assists in 33 regular-season appearances with the Bruins last season. Look for Poitras to grab a bottom-six role upon his return, which could come as early as Saturday against the Kings.

Impact Swayman will make his first start of the season after inking an eight-year contract Sunday. The 25-year-old takes over as the No. 1 netminder with the Bruins, after sharing the net the last three seasons with the departed Linus Ullmark. Swayman was outstanding last season, going 25-10-8 with a 2.53 GAA and a .916 save percentage in 44 regular-season appearances. He faces the Canadiens. who beat the Maple Leafs 1-0 on Wednesday, despite giving up 47 shots on goal.

Impact Beecher made the Opening Night roster as a fourth-line forward, though he ended up with 15:18 of ice time. It's an encouraging start for the 23-year-old, who had a modest 10 points and added 112 hits in 52 regular-season outings in 2023-24 while also appearing in 12 of the Bruins' 13 playoff games. Beecher didn't put up high-end scoring numbers in his NCAA career at Michigan nor at AHL Providence prior to his call-up last year, so his fantasy value will be limited to deeper formats that count hits.

Lights lamp Tuesday Frederic scored a goal on two shots, added four PIM and went minus-2 in Tuesday's 6-4 loss to the Panthers.
Impact Frederic is no stranger to the rough stuff -- he had 204 hits and 69 PIM in addition to a breakout year with 40 points in 82 regular-season contests in 2023-24. The 26-year-old forward figures to be a consistent middle-six option for the Bruins this season. He also featured on the second power-play unit Tuesday, which could last throughout the campaign since the Bruins are relying on less proven options to fill out their bottom six. Frederic's biggest competition for power-play time is defenseman Hampus Lindholm, who is more likely to see time with the man advantage when the Bruins are nursing a lead.

Nets goal Tuesday Zacha scored a goal on three shots in Tuesday's 6-4 loss to the Panthers.
Impact Zacha showed immediate success with Elias Lindholm, who set up his first-period tally. The 27-year-old Zacha is making the move to left wing with Lindholm in the fold to play center. Both of them may take on more playmaking roles with the third member of their line being David Pastrnak, who also scored in the contest. Zacha has topped the 20-goal mark in both of his years with the Bruins despite never exceeding 150 shots on net, so expect him to continue to be a selective and efficient shooter as well as a decent source of hits -- he had 106 body checks last season.
