Brad Marchand - Back in action no worse for wear Marchand (illness) played 15:54 Saturday in a 2-0 loss to the Capitals.
Impact Marchand left Tuesday's game unwell and sat out Thursday's match. He remains a solid fantasy contributor, but at 36, his star is starting to dim. Marchand could catch lightning in a bottle if the Bruins decide to stack him on their top line with David Pastrnak and Elias Lindholm. Anything is possible with Jeremy Swayman still holding out for a deal - the team will need to find ways to win.

Brandon Bussi - Expected to start Saturday Bussi is set to guard the road goal against Washington in Saturday's preseason contest.
Impact Bussi had a 2.67 GAA and a .913 save percentage across 41 regular-season appearances with AHL Providence in 2023-24. Although he was originally projected to start the 2024-25 campaign in the minors, Jeremy Swayman remains unsigned as a restricted free agent, which has created an opening for Bussi to serve as Boston's No. 2 netminder behind Joonas Korpisalo. Assuming Swayman eventually re-signs with the Bruins, Bussi would then likely be reassigned to the AHL.

Impact Marchand left Tuesday's tilt versus the Flyers with the illness and sat out Thursday's game in Quebec City against the Kings. Marchand had 29 goals and 67 points in 82 regular-season contests in 2023-24. He has been on a downward slope as far as points-per-game are concerned, over the last four seasons and it could continue for the 36-year-old.

Alec Regula - Sitting out preseason finale Regula (knee) won't play in Boston's preseason finale against Washington on Saturday.
Impact Regula didn't see any game action during the exhibition schedule following offseason knee surgery. If he doesn't get assigned to AHL Providence for the start of the 2024-25 campaign, the 24-year-old defender may be placed on season-opening injured reserve.

Kasimir Kaskisuo - Called up from minors Kaskisuo was recalled from AHL Providence on Saturday.
Impact The Bruins released Kaskisuo from his PTO on Sunday, sending him to their AHL affiliate in Providence. Kaskisuo could get a chance to redeem himself in Saturday's preseason finale in Washington. Kaskisuo was 7-4-0 with a 2.90 GAA and a .909 save percentage as the backup goaltender with AHL Laval last season.

Jackson Edward - Called up from Providence Edward was recalled Saturday from AHL Providence.
Impact Edward will play in his first professional season in 2024-25, after spending the last three seasons with OHL London. The defenseman had seven goals and 30 points in 59 regular-season games with the Knights, and chipped in with a pair of goals and nine assists in 15 playoff games. Look for Edward to spend the season at Providence.

Michael Callahan - Recalled from AHL Providence Callahan was called up from AHL Providence on Saturday.
Impact The 25-year-old defenseman had four goals and 17 points in 70 regular-season games with AHL Providence in 2023-24. Callahan will be returned to the AHL after Saturday's game in Washington, as he was recalled to fill out the lineup in Boston's final preseason contest.

Georgii Merkulov - Recalled Saturday The Bruins recalled Merkulov from AHL Providence on Saturday.
Impact Merkulov had a big season in the AHL in 2023-24, finding the back of the net 30 times while adding 35 assists in 67 regular-season games. Merkulov played in four NHL regular-season games last year, but he failed to garner a point. Merkulov could see more time in the NHL this season as he has plenty of offensive skills.

Brett Harrison - Playing Saturday Harrison was recalled from AHL Providence on Saturday.
Impact Harrison spent last season at the AHL level, scoring five times while adding nine assists in 47 regular-season games with AHL Providence. Look for Harrison to be demoted after Saturday's tilt in Washington.

Riley Duran - Recalled from AHL Duran was called up from AHL Providence on Saturday.
Impact The Bruins are fill out their roster for the final preseason game in Washington, hence the recall of Duran. He played in 11 AHL regular-season games in 2023-24, after leaving Providence College at the conclusion of his junior season. Duran had a pair of goals and two assists, and was held off the scoresheet in four playoff games with AHL Providence.

Michael DiPietro - Sent to Providence DiPietro was placed on waivers Friday, per Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet.
Impact DiPietro has played in three NHL games with the Canucks, his last one being in the 2021-22 season when he gave up three goals on 17 shots and took the loss. DiPietri was solid in 30 AHL appearances in 2023-24, going 18-9-2 with a 2.51 GAA and a .918 save percentage with Providence. He should return to Providence once he passes through waivers.

Jordan Oesterle - Waived by Boston Oesterle was placed on waivers by the Bruins on Friday, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports.
Impact Oesterle joined Boston on a two-year, two-way contract with the Bruins in early July. If he clears waivers, he'll head to AHL Providence, where he'll likely spend most of the season. The 32-year-old made 22 regular-season appearances for Calgary last year and recorded two assists, 18 shots and 33 blocked shots while averaging 13:31 of ice time.

Impact Lettieri had five goals and nine points in 46 regular-season contests with the Wild in 2023-24. He is expected to be sent to AHL Providence, once he clears waivers.

Matthew Poitras - Could miss start of season Poitras (undisclosed) may not be ready for the start of the season, Scott McLaughlin of WEEI reports Friday.
Impact Poitras has played in three of Boston's six preseason games, scoring once. He missed the end of the 2023-24 campaign with a shoulder injury, but there is no word as to whether or not it is the same injury. Poitras made his NHL debut as a 19-year-old last season, registering five goals and 10 assists in 33 regular-season contests. He is slated to center the third line, once he is healthy.
