Impact No, he didn't get the win, but Levi showed his skills on a world stage. And those skills are elite. Levi was one of the best players on the ice, and he was the reason the score only favored the Devils by two. His mates only mustered 18 shots on Jake Allen at the other end. Levi won't be the top dog in Buffalo this season or perhaps even next. But this young man is the future in the city of fires.

Zach Benson - Out Saturday Benson missed Saturday's game against the Devils in Prague with a lower-body injury, according to Lance Lysowski of The Buffalo News.
Impact Benson played through the injury Friday when he managed 17:23 of ice time including 4:32 on the power play. He was unable to go Saturday. The Sabres will face the Kings at home on Thursday. Consider the 19-year-old, who had 11 goals and 30 points in 71 regular-season games last season, day-to-day.

JJ Peterka - Diagnosed with concussion Peterka sustained a concussion in Saturday's 3-1 loss to New Jersey, Dan Rosen of NHL.com reports.
Impact Peterka was injured in the first period following a hard hit from Devils defenseman Brenden Dillon. The 22-year-old Peterka left the contest and didn't return but will travel home to Buffalo with his teammates. If he is unavailable for a week due to concussion protocol, the talented forward could miss Thursday's home opener versus the Kings. Jordan Greenway or Jiri Kulich could replace Peterka on the top line.

JJ Peterka - Suffers upper-body injury Peterka suffered an upper-body injury in the first period Saturday versus New Jersey and will not return.
Impact Peterka took a big hit from Brenden Dillon in the neutral zone and stayed down for a while before leaving the ice. Dillon received a minor for interference and a five-minute major for fighting after Alex Tuch came to the defense of Peterka. The Sabres will leave Prague after the game and more information may not be available until Buffalo returns home. Peterka started the game on the top line, alongside Tage Thompson and Tuch. Peterka was replaced by Jordan Greenway.

Impact Levi will get the second half of a back-to-back after Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen stopped 19 of 22 shots in Friday's 4-1 loss to the Devils. The 22-year-old Levi registered a 10-8-2 record with a 3.10 GAA and an .899 save percentage in 23 regular-season appearances with the Sabres in 2023-24. He enters the 2024-25 campaign as Luukkonen's backup but could face some competition for the role from James Reimer.
