Impact Cozens has three goals and seven points in 11 contests this year after setting career highs in 2022-23 with 31 markers and 68 points. He's regarded as day-to-day, according to Mike Harrington of The Buffalo News, so Cozens might still be an option Tuesday against Carolina. His absence could push Victor Olofsson, who was a healthy scratch in Buffalo's previous three games, into the lineup Saturday.

Devon Levi - Slated to start Saturday Levi (lower body) is expected to start in Saturday's road contest versus Toronto, Paul Hamilton of WGR Sports Radio 550.
Impact It will be Levi's first game since Oct. 19, though he did take a step toward returning from his lower-body injury by serving as the backup goaltender Wednesday and Friday. He has a 1-3-0 record, 3.26 GAA and .892 save percentage in four appearances this year. The Maple Leafs are in a three-way tie for 15th offensively with 3.10 goals per game.

Ryan Johnson - Summoned from AHL Johnson was called up from AHL Rochester on Saturday, per the AHL transaction list.
Impact Johnson has four assists in nine games with Rochester this season. Buffalo placed Mattias Samuelsson (lower body) on the injured reserve list Saturday, so the Sabres were down to six healthy defensemen. It remains to be seen if Johnson will play in Saturday's contest versus Toronto, but he'll probably make his NHL debut before the end of his current stint with the Sabres. Buffalo selected him with the No. 31 overall pick in the 2019 NHL Draft.
