MacKenzie Weegar - Helps out on power play Weegar logged a power-play assist, two shots on goal, three hits and two blocked shots in Saturday's 4-3 win over the Penguins.
Impact Weegar dropped the puck off for Nazem Kadri, who converted on an end-to-end rush for the Flames' second goal. The helper was Weegar's second point over eight games since his Feb. 10 hat trick versus the Islanders. The 30-year-old defenseman has 34 points (eight on the power play), 149 shots on net, 133 hits, 143 blocked shots and a plus-7 rating over 60 appearances this season. He'll likely see an increase in defensive usage following the Flames' trade of Chris Tanev to Dallas.

Impact Backlund earned his first multi-point since Jan. 13 by assisting on goals for Blake Coleman and Yegor Sharangovich during the Flames' third-period tally. With two goals and four assists over his last seven contests, Backlund is heating up again. The 34-year-old center has 32 points, 166 shots on net, 53 hits and a plus-12 rating through 60 appearances.

Blake Coleman - Nets equalizer Saturday Coleman scored a goal and added two PIM in Saturday's 4-3 win over the Penguins.
Impact Coleman scored the game-tying goal just 32 seconds after Nazem Kadri pulled the Flames within a goal. With a tally in four of the last five contests, Coleman has been a solid contributor during the team's five-game winning streak. The 32-year-old has 25 tallies, 47 points, 141 shots on net, 91 hits, 61 PIM and a plus-26 rating through 60 outings during the best season of his career.

Impact Kadri did it all himself on an end-to-end rush in the third period, with his goal cutting the deficit to 3-2. The center has been excellent of late, racking up six goals and two assists over his last seven outings. For the season, he's up to 22 tallies, 52 points (11 on the power play), 191 shots on net, 50 hits and a plus-4 rating through 60 appearances.

Yegor Sharangovich - Pots pair of goals Sharangovich scored two goals on four shots in Saturday's 4-3 win over the Penguins.
Impact Sharangovich got the Flames on the board in the second period and put them ahead for the first time with 50 seconds left in the final frame. The 25-year-old is heating up again with three goals and two assists over his last five outings. The versatile forward is up to 23 goals, 41 points, 129 shots on net and a minus-13 rating through 60 appearances on the year.

Jacob Markstrom - Defeats Penguins Markstrom stopped 27 of 30 shots in Saturday's 4-3 win over the Penguins.
Impact Markstrom earned his fourth straight win, though it didn't look like he'd be able to extend the streak for much of the game. The Penguins took a 3-1 lead early in the third period, but the Flames rallied for three goals over the last 10 minutes. Markstrom is up t 21-15-2 with a 2.57 GAA and a .914 save percentage through 38 starts this season. The Flames' next game is Monday versus the Kraken, one that both teams need to win to keep their slim playoff hopes from teetering on the edge.
