Rasmus Andersson - Grabs helper in overtime win Andersson logged a power-play assist, two shots on goal and three blocked shots in Saturday's 3-2 overtime win over the Rangers.
Impact Andersson helped out on Mikael Backlund's overtime tally, setting up Jonathan Huberdeau for the shot that was tipped in. This was Andersson's second game back after being hit by a car a little over a week ago, and he has an assist in each of those contests. The Swedish blueliner has seven tallies, 36 points (16 on the power play), 113 shots on net, 93 blocked shots and a plus-7 rating through 53 appearances.

He was eased back in a bit, logging just 19:49 of ice time Thursday -- the first time he's been below 20 minutes all season. He set up a Dillon Dube tally in the second period. Impact Backlund's four-game point streak ended Monday in Ottawa, but it didn't take him long to get back on the scoresheet. He applied pressure and corralled a loose puck to set up Elias Lindholm on the Flames' first tally. Backlund has 15 points in 17 outings since the start of January, signaling another strong second half of the campaign for the veteran center. Impact It was a tough night for Vladar as he allowed five goals on just 24 shots in the defeat. The 25-year-old netminder has dropped his last two contests, allowing seven goals on 43 shots in that span. Vladar falls to 11-6-4 on the season with a .899 save percentage. Despite his struggles of late, Vladar should continue to see a fair amount of starting opportunities behind Jacob Markstrom.

Impact Andersson was injured eight days ago when his scooter was hit by a car in Detroit. Andersson could be available Thursday at home against the Red Wings, but coach Darryl Sutter will talk to his defenseman first before making a final decision on the lineup.
