Jacob Markstrom - Gets starting nod Markstrom will guard the road goal during Saturday's game versus Buffalo, Heather Engel of NHL.com reports.
Impact Markstrom struggled in his last start Monday against the Rangers, allowing five goals on 33 shots en route to a 5-4 overtime loss. He'll try to snap his personal five-game losing streak in a road matchup with a Sabres squad that's 11-3-2 at home this year.

Nazem Kadri - Goal and assist help pace win Kadri scored a goal and added an assist in Saturday's 7-2 wi over Buffalo.
Impact It was his first goal in five games and first points in four. The goal was like so many of Kadri's best -- he deflected a Jonathan Huberdeau shot in the high slot as part of a four-goal flurry in the second period. While he won't come close to his career-best 87 points (71 games) from last season, Kadri is on pace to record his third 30-goal season. He's been one of the Flames' best this season.

Dennis Gilbert - Nets first goal in hometown Gilbert had a goal and an assist in Saturday's 7-2 win over the Sabres in Buffalo.
Impact Gilbert stepped into a drop pass by Dillon Dube from above the left circle at 4:40 of the second period. The goal -- his first this season (10 games) -- stood as the winner. It was a game to remember for Gilbert, who had close to 100 family and friends in the arena to honor his first NHL game in his hometown. Overall, he skated 11:15 and had one shot, one hit and one block. Gilbert's only other goal came with Chicago in 2019-20.

Jacob Markstrom - First win since Jan. 6 Markstrom had one assist and made 21 saves in a 7-2 victory over the Sabres on Saturday.
Impact Both goals allowed came in the first; one was on a power play. And then Calgary scored seven unanswered goals, including three in a span of 1:47 of the second, and Markstrom cruised to the win. It was his first win since January 6.

Tyler Toffoli - Three-point night in win Toffoli scored two goals and added an assist in a 7-2 win over Buffalo on Saturday.
Impact All three points came in a three-goal third period. Toffoli stretched the score to 5-2 at 1:57 of the third period on a backdoor tap-in on a pass from Dillon Dube off a rush. He then scored to make it 6-2 at 13:05 from the left circle on a power play. Toffoli has four goals and two assists in his last four games.

Dillon Dube - Career-best four-point game Dube had a goal and three assists in a 7-2 win over the Sabres on Saturday.
Impact What a game -- it was Dube's first four-point game in his NHL career (253 games). He one-timed a tap pass from Elias Lindholm in the slot at 17:11 of the third period for the 7-2 final. Earlier, he set up Dennis Gilbert's game winner in the second and then delivered two more helpers, one of which came on the power play, in the third. All three assists were primary ones, so Dube was dialled. His season has been divided into three sections -- a slow start, a one-week hot streak starting mid-December and then seven points in the 18 game stretch prior to this outburst. Overall, Dube is one point from equaling his career mark of 32 set last season, but his growth has been maddeningly inconsistent.
