Set to start Thursday Wedgewood is expected to start in Thursday's road game against Washington, Mike Heika of the Stars' official site reports.
Impact Wedgewood has a 4-1-1 record, 3.18 GAA and .911 save percentage in six contests this season. His previous start came last Thursday when he saved 32 of 36 shots in a 4-3 overtime loss to Calgary. Washington ranks 30th this year with 2.40 goals per game.

Impact Hakanpaa didn't have a point prior to December, but he's now logged three helpers over the last three games. Part of it is positive regression, but the 31-year-old shouldn't be relied on for consistent offense -- he's more of a physical role player in the Stars' bottom four. He's added 50 hits, 44 blocked shots, 27 PIM and a plus-9 rating over 24 appearances.

Finds helper in loss Steel recorded an assist and two PIM in Wednesday's 5-4 loss to the Panthers.
Impact Steel set up a Radek Faksa tally in the first period. Later on, when Tyler Seguin (undisclosed) exited the game, Steel was bumped up to a line with Matt Duchene and Mason Marchment. It's possible that trio sticks together if Seguin misses time. Impact Faksa has a goal and an assist over his last three games, starting December in solid form. The 29-year-old center has doubled his point total for the year in that span -- he's at two goals and two assists through 20 contests. Faksa has added 16 shots on net, 10 hits, 15 blocked shots and a minus-1 rating while averaging just 13:04 of ice time per game on the fourth line, his lowest mark since his rookie year.
