Impact Oettinger snapped a three-game losing streak with this performance. He allowed a goal in each period, but the Stars scored twice in every frame to give their goalie ample help. The 24-year-old netminder is up to 11-7-2 with a 2.85 GAA and a .904 save percentage through 20 starts this season. The Stars' next two games are in a back-to-back -- they host the Senators on Friday before visiting the Blues on Sunday. That two-game set should allow both Oettinger and Scott Wedgewood to each make a start.

Impact Hintz was unavailable versus Vegas on Saturday after coming down with an illness but looks poised to return to action. The Finnish winger has racked up four goals and five assists in his previous nine outings, including a trio of power-play points and a shorthanded goal. Hintz should reclaim a first-line role in addition to linking up with one of the power-play units.

Impact Hakanpaa has earned all four of his helpers this season over five games in December. The Finnish blueliner is up to 52 hits, 46 blocked shots, 27 PIM, 14 shots on net and a plus-6 rating through 26 contests. His playing style is mostly physical, so any offense he chips in is a bonus -- and not something fantasy managers should be relying on regularly.

Impact Benn has been excellent so far in December, earning four points with eight shots on net and six hits over five contests. He set up Evgenii Dadonov for the Stars' lone goal in this game. Benn has 19 points, 42 shots on net, 24 hits, 19 blocked shots, 17 PIM and a plus-3 rating through 26 outings. It's a lower scoring pace than his 78-point campaign from 2022-23, but he's still offering solid all-around production.

Impact Dadonov has scored in two of three games since he returned from a two-game stint in the press box. The 34-year-old winger has been back on the third line and second power-play unit -- it appears the benching sufficed to light a spark in his game. Dadonov is at six goals, four assists, 31 shots on net and a minus-9 rating through 24 appearances. His mediocre scoring and lack of non-scoring production means he won't be an option to help most fantasy managers.

Another queasy night in blue paint Oettinger made 20 saves Saturday in a 6-1 loss to Vegas.
Impact The Golden Knights were dominant and the Stars were far from it, even on home ice. Oettinger has lost three consecutive games and has allowed 15 goals in that span (.815 save percentage). Those losses were to three elite teams (Bolts, Panthers and Knights), but still -- Oettinger needs to be better and so do his mates if they intend to compete for the sliver chalice at the end of the season. The Stars next line up Monday against the hot Red Wings. Scott Wedgewood could be in the net that night to give Oettinger some time to regroup.

Impact Hanley sat out the first 10 contests of the season, but he's since found a more regular path to playing time. He filled in when Thomas Harley was hurt, and Hanley has now started to push the struggling Nils Lundkvist for the last spot in the lineup with the Stars at virtually full health. Hanley has no points with seven hits, six blocked shots, two shots on goal and a minus-1 rating over seven appearances, so he's still not likely to be much of an asset for fantasy managers.

Inconsistent playing time Dellandrea has played in nine of the Stars' last 18 games.
Impact Dellandrea got a decent run of playing time when the team was missing forwards at various points in November, but he's now sat out four of the last six games. With Sam Steel playing better, Dellandrea's best path to getting in the lineup is to leap over Evgenii Dadonov or Craig Smith on the depth chart. Dellandrea has managed just one assist, 12 shots on net, 21 hits and a minus-5 rating through 14 appearances this season.

Impact Steel has five points this season, three of which have come over his last four games. The 25-year-old remains in a fourth-line role, but he's earning more trust from head coach Pete DeBoer with the strong play. He's averaging 25:18 of ice time per game, including 2:58 on the power play, so he should have plenty of chances to be a positive contributor.

Impact Duchene played in his 1,000th NHL game Thursday and celebrated the occasion by setting up Mason Marchment's second-period tally. The 32-year-old center has three helpers over his last two games and is now up to 20 points, 54 shots on net and a plus-5 rating through 24 contests in his first year with the Stars.

Impact Pavelski has often had his ice time managed this season, but he led the Stars with 18:19 in this contest.
