Back at practice Friday Hintz (upper body) was practicing without restrictions on Friday, according to Mike Heika of the Stars' official site.

Impact Hintz was centering Joe Pavelski and Jason Robertson in his usual spot as the top center. Hintz had a great 2022-23 campaign, scoring 37 goals and adding 38 assists in 73 games. Look for Hintz to return to the lineup Tuesday after missing Thursday's 2-1 win over St. Louis in a shootout.

Chips in with helper Dellandrea notched an assist in Thursday's 2-1 shootout win over the Blues.

Impact Dellandrea set up Jamie Benn's goal early in the second period. While the Stars' top line will generate most of the offense for the team, there's talent throughout the lineup -- enough to have Dellandrea starting the year on the third line. The 23-year-old had 28 points, 125 hits and 54 PIM in 82 games last season, his first full NHL campaign. Despite the somewhat limited role, his physical play could earn him some fantasy interest in deeper formats.

Earns assist Thursday Johnston posted an assist and three shots on goal in Thursday's 2-1 shootout win over the Blues.

Impact Johnston helped out on Jamie Benn's goal in the second period. Those two forwards were on the Stars' third line with Ty Dellandrea, though Johnston was fifth among Dallas forwards with 17:15 of ice time. He was initially questionable for the season opener with an upper-body injury, but it appears he's good to go for his sophomore season. Johnston produced 41 points in 82 outings as a rookie last year, and he figures to have plenty of room to grow in 2023-24.
