Ready for Dallas debut Tanev is expected to be in the lineup for Tuesday's game versus the Sharks.

Impact Tanev has apparently gotten his immigration paperwork settled and will be eligible to play Tuesday. Expect the defenseman to see a heavy workload defensively with no power-play time. The 34-year-old had 14 points and 171 blocked shots over 56 contests before the Flames traded him to the Stars last Wednesday.

Impact Stankoven has been up and down from the minors frequently of late for salary cap reasons. He has been superb at the NHL level, collecting three goals, one assist, 15 shots on net and six hits over five appearances this campaign. Stankoven should be back on the third line and second power-play unit in Tuesday's contest against the Sharks.

Impact Smith had gone eight games without a point entering Saturday. His shot led to a second chance for Radek Faksa to bury early in the second period. The helper gave Smith 12 points through 58 outings, and he's added 87 shots on net, 38 hits and a plus-1 rating. The 34-year-old winger remains in a fourth-line role, though the Stars' tight cap situation makes it questionable if they'll acquire any forward depth ahead of Friday's trade deadline.

Slings helper in shootout win Steel notched an assist and two hits in Saturday's 3-2 shootout win over the Sharks.

Impact Steel snapped his eight-game point drought by assisting on Radek Faksa's second-period tally. While he's floated around the lineup at times, Steel has been firmly in place as the fourth-line center since Tyler Seguin (lower body) exited the lineup. Steel has 19 points, 62 shots on net and an even plus-minus rating over 58 appearances, but fantasy managers can likely find better options on the waiver wire.

Piling up helpers Benn notched a power-play assist and five shots on goal in Saturday's 3-2 shootout win over the Sharks.

Impact Benn has six assists over his last eight games. While that's not a McDavidian run of playmaking, it's still solid work for Benn, who has struggled to be consistent for much of the 2024 portion of the season. The 34-year-old forward is up to 36 points (13 on the power play), 115 shots on net, 83 hits, 35 PIM and a minus-1 rating through 63 appearances. He'll likely continue to play on the third line, as head coach Pete DeBoer has done little in the way of lineup shuffling this season.

Notches power-play helper Heiskanen logged a power-play assist and two PIM in Saturday's 3-2 shootout win over the Sharks.

Impact Heiskanen snapped a three-game point drought when he set up Jason Robertson's game-tying goal in the third period. The 24-year-old Heiskanen has been mostly steady on offense this season, though not at the same level as 2022-23. He's produced 38 points (13 on the power play), 117 shots on net, 69 blocked shots and a plus-2 rating through 52 outings. Heiskanen earned 34 of his 73 points with the man advantage last season -- the team-wide drop in power-play efficiency has likely played a role in his reduced output.

Impact Faksa snapped an 11-game point drought with his second-period tally on a rebound. The 30-year-old forward has maintained his usual defense-first role in a fourth-line spot this season, so it's no surprise he's struggled to put up points. He's at four goals, eight assists, 49 shots on net, 66 hits, 34 blocked shots and an even plus-minus rating through 55 appearances, so he doesn't need to be tracked closely in fantasy.

Impact Robertson has scored three goals and added an assist over his last five games. This was his first power-play point since Feb. 7. The winger is up to 21 tallies, 60 points (19 on the power play), 179 shots on net, 54 hits and a plus-15 rating through 63 appearances this season in a top-line role. Robertson remains an automatic play in fantasy, and he'll look to stay warm in his home state as the Stars have a three-game road trip through California next week.

Impact The Stars nearly succumbed to a trap game -- they never led in regulation, but they managed to get the game to overtime. Oettinger was sharp, stopping six of seven shootout attempts to win consecutive games for the first time since his seven-game streak from Jan. 23 to Feb. 15.
