Starting against Vegas Markstrom will serve as the starting goaltender for Sunday's road game against the Golden Knights, Sam Kasan of the Devils' official site reports.

Impact Markstrom was activated off injured reserve Sunday, and he's been cleared to make his first appearance since Jan. 22. Over 36 appearances this season, the 35-year-old has gone 21-9-5 with a 2.20 GAA and .912 save percentage.

Impact Fortunately for Markstrom and the Devils, that recovery period includes the two-week break for the 4 Nations Face-Off, so he won't miss as many games as he otherwise might have. In fact, if the veteran netminder can return in the four-week range, he would only miss seven games and would be ready to face the Stars on Feb. 22.
