The Senators' season finale is Tuesday in Boston, a game Anton Forsberg is likely to start.

Impact Korpisalo is coming off a 21-save performance in Saturday's 5-4 shootout win over Montreal. He has gone 2-2-0 over his past four outings, posting a .906 save percentage during that span. Korpisalo has a 21-25-4 record this campaign with a 3.26 GAA and an .890 save percentage over 54 appearances. The Rangers have 3.38 goals per game this season, which is tied for seventh in the league.

Impact The game wasn't exactly a goalie show. Korpisalo stopped all three shooters in the shootout, though, to secure the victory. After six wins in seven games in the back half of March, Korpisalo's balloon burst with a 2-4-0 run in his last six starts. He's locked up through 2027-28 with a $4 million AAV. Korpisalo would be a very expensive buyout, so expect the Sens to give him every chance to perform next season. And he may be a real sleeper if he can step into that role.

Impact Korpisalo was terrific in two wins over Montreal in January, stopping 45 of 48 shots. He had a tough loss Tuesday against the Panthers as he turned aside 28 shots in a 2-0 loss. Korpisalo is 20-25-4 with a 3.25 GAA and an .891 save percentage this season. The Canadiens are averaging 2.78 goals this season, 27th in the NHL.

Impact He got beaten twice in a three-minute span during the first period, with one of the tallies coming on a Florida power play, but Korpisalo shut the door the rest of the way. Unfortunately for him, Ottawa's offense never woke up. The 29-year-old goalie has appeared in five straight games but taken the loss in four of them, going 1-4-0 with a 2.96 GAA and .888 save percentage over that stretch. Korpisalo still seems unlikely to cede the starting job to Anton Forsberg over the Senators' final handful of games.

Despite the Senators having been officially eliminated from playoff contention, the club continues to lean on Korpisalo instead of giving Anton Forsberg some work. Still, the Sens end the year with a back-to-back against the Rangers on Bruins on Monday and Tuesday, respectively, so look for Korpisalo to get one of those two contests.

Gets overtime win Korpisalo kicked out 20 of 22 shots in a 3-2 overtime win over the Capitals on Sunday.

Impact Even though he did not face many shots in the contest, Korpisalo turned away the final 12 sent his way to give the Senators the win in overtime and to finish with a .909 save percentage. Korpisalo has been very streaky as of late as this was his first win after three straight losses and prior to that he had three consecutive wins. The Senators are officially out of the playoff race but look for Korpisalo to continue to get starts as this was his fifth in a row.

Impact After rattling off four straight wins, Korpisalo has dropped his last three, allowing eight goals on 55 shots during that span. Since the start of March, he's 6-5-1 with an .899 save percentage. His streaky season has resulted in a lackluster 3.30 GAA and .890 save percentage through 51 appearances.

Loses in relief Korpisalo made 18 saves in relief Saturday in a 4-3 loss to New Jersey.

Impact Unfortunately, he allowed one goal and that ended up the winner. Korpisalo has lost three straight games, and the Sens have been eliminated from postseason contention. But the Sens played perhaps their best period of hockey in the third period, so maybe the whole team can build on that over the last week-plus.
