Juraj Slafkovsky - Leaves game late Slafkovsky was removed from Saturday's game late in the third period after taking a shot to the head, Erik Leijon of the Montreal Gazette reports.

Impact The hit delivered by Noel Acciari occurred with just over three minutes left, as seen on SportsNet, and Slafkovsky's status is unclear. The incident did lead to Montreal seeking retribution as the horn sounded to end the game, as Arber Xhekaj took a run at Acciari. Slaskovsky will have a couple of days to get right before Montreal hosts Calgary on Tuesday.

Kirby Dach - Spends time on top line Saturday Dach had two shots and two hits and finished minus-2 in Saturday's 3-1 loss to Pittsburgh.

Impact Dach opened the contest on the second line but eventually replaced Josh Anderson on the top unit. Dach spent some time on the top line earlier this year, as head coach Martin St. Louis attempts to balance scoring threats in the top six. Dach is now at a team-low minus-14 through 12 appearances.

Josh Anderson - Opens on top line Anderson had one shot and six hits in Saturday's 3-1 loss to the Penguins.

Impact Anderson was the latest Montreal forward to skate on the top line alongside Nick Suzuki and Cole Caufield. He joined a rotation that has included Juraj Slafkovsky, Kirby Dach and Emil Heineman. Anderson eventually swapped spots with Dach on Saturday and skated on the second line. Canadiens head coach Martin St. Louis started the season with Slafkovsky on the top unit, which may be the most productive combination, but the coach has since dropped him to the second line in an effort to balance out scoring among the lines. Anderson's six hits raised his season total to 29 through 12 outings, second most on the team.

Michael Pezzetta - Serving as extra forward Pezzetta has played in three of the Canadiens' first 12 games after sitting out Saturday's 3-1 loss to the Penguins.

Impact Pezzetta's three appearances so far correspond with Juraj Slafkovsky's absence with an upper-body injury. That pretty clearly paints the picture of Pezzetta being purely an injury replacement at forward. He has no points, one shot on goal, nine hits, four PIM and two blocked shots so far. Aside from injuries, Pezzetta could eventually offer a challenge to Emil Heineman or Oliver Kapanen for a fourth-line spot. When in the lineup, Pezzetta offers hits and PIM, but he's never had more than 15 points in a single season.

Juraj Slafkovsky - Nabs helper in loss Slafkovsky recorded an assist, three shots on goal, two hits and two blocked shots in Saturday's 3-1 loss to the Penguins.

Impact Slafkovsky has earned two assists over three games since he returned from an upper-body injury. The 20-year-old winger began this contest on the second line, but he eventually replaced Josh Anderson on the top line alongside Nick Suzuki and Cole Caufield. Slafkovsky has displayed strong offense with a goal, seven assists, 14 shots on net, 31 hits, 11 blocked shots and a plus-1 rating through nine appearances, but he does best when playing with the Canadiens' other star forwards.

Emil Heineman - Back on fourth line Heineman logged an assist and one hit in Saturday's 3-1 loss to the Penguins.

Impact Heineman forced a turnover with his forecheck and fed Christian Dvorak for Montreal's lone goal. It was the first assist for Heineman, who also has two goals. He spent time on the top line during Thursday's loss to the Capitals but was moved back to fourth line Saturday.
