Kaiden Guhle - Returns to action Guhle had one shot on net, three blocks, four hits and two PIM in Thursday's 6-3 loss to Washington.

Impact Guhle returned to the active lineup after missing five games due to an upper-body injury. He rejoined with Mike Matheson on the top pair and was minus-2 over 21:31 of ice time. Guhle's return prompted Montreal to reassign Logan Mailloux to the minors.

Christian Dvorak - Helps, hurts in loss Dvorak had an assist in Thursday's 6-3 loss to Washington.

Impact Dvorak's drop pass to Lane Hutson led to Brendan Gallagher's tally that put Montreal up, 2-1, midway through the second period. The assist was the third of season for Dvorak. The Capitals, however, would reclaim the lead less than two minutes later, when Dvorak's bad giveaway from behind his own net led to a goal.

David Savard - Back on scoresheet Savard had an assist and five blocks in Thursday's 6-3 loss to the Capitals.

Impact Savard set up Nick Suzuki's one-timer to the tie it up at 3-3 late in the second period. The blueliner was back on the scoresheet after having a three-game assist streak halted in Tuesday's ugly loss to the Kraken. The blocks are nothing new for Savard, who routinely crosses the century mark in that category. He currently has 31 blocked shots over 11 outings.

Impact Hutson was all smiles and accepted glove bumps from teammates in what was nearly his first NHL goal; however, video review confirmed the path of his shot was altered by Brendan Gallagher. The rookie blueliner, who had just one point over the previous seven games, recorded the third two-assist game through his first 11 outings.

Nick Suzuki - Two points in loss Suzuki scored a goal on one shot and logged a power-play assist in Thursday's 6-3 loss to Washington. He also had three blocks and two hits.

Impact Suzuki one-timed a pass from David Savard, beating Charlie Lindgren just inside the post to tie the game at 3-3 last in the second period. Earlier in the same period, he assisted on Cole Caufield's power-play tally for his third man-advantage helper. The sizzling Suzuki has 13 points (four goals, nine assists) over the last nine appearances.

Impact Gallagher's tip of a Lane Hutson gave Montreal a breif 2-1 lead before the Capitals tied it up 46 seconds later. The goal was Gallagher's fourth over 25 shots (16.0 shooting percentage), but the forward has points in just three of 11 contests.
