Michael Matheson - Game-time call Matheson (lower body) will be a game-time decision Monday against Vegas, Arpon Basu of The Athletic reports.
Impact Matheson took part in the morning skate after being injured in Saturday's 4-3 shootout win over Winnipeg. He has compiled two goals, four assists, 22 shots on net and 21 blocked shots in eight games this season. If Matheson can't play in Monday's contest, Gustav Lindstrom will replace him in the lineup.

Sam Montembeault - Guarding cage against Knights Montembeault will patrol the blue paint in Monday's road clash with Vegas, RDS.ca reports.
Impact Montembeault will make his fourth appearance in goal this season after registering a 2-1-0 record and .901 save percentage in his prior three outings. Despite Jake Allen being undefeated in regulation through four games, Montembeault has gotten his share of playing time, while Cayden Primeau has also made one start.

Impact Armia finished off a feed from Kaiden Guhle, beating Laurent Brossoit five hole. The 30-year-old Armia, who was called up to Montreal a week ago, was active for the first time and skated on the fourth line. He took over for Jesse Ylonen, who had gone six consecutive games without a point.

Nick Suzuki - Logs power-play assist Suzuki recorded a power-play assist, one shot on goal and one hit over 22:19 of ice time in Saturday's 4-3 shootout win over the Jets. He was the lone goal scorer in the shootout.
Impact Suzuki found Sean Monahan camped out net front for the Canadiens' second goal. It was the fourth power-play helper for Suzuki. The top-line center, who has been hit-or-miss early in the season, has points in two consecutive games, his first scoring streak of the season.

Impact Monahan has been a gift to the Canadiens' power play, a unit that ranked 29th in the NHL last season. Saturday's marker was his third on the power play. The third-line center has four goals, three assists, 18 shots and six PIM while averaging a healthy 18:39 TOI, including 4:13 PPTOI.

Justin Barron - Flashes offense in win Barron scored a goal on one shot in Saturday's 4-3 shootout win over Winnipeg. He added two blocked shots, one hit and two penalty minutes over 19:09 of ice time.
Impact Barron filled the center slot on a rush and went five hole on Laurent Brossoit to even the game at one goal apiece. It was the third goal in four games for Barron, who filled in for Kaiden Guhle after being a healthy scratch the first three games of the season. Guhle returned Saturday, was Barron's partner on the second pair, and had a pair of assists. Barron will remain the lineup now replacing the injured David Savard (hand), who is expected out until early December. However, if Barron continues to provide offense, he'll play over Gustav Lindstrom when Savard is ready to play.

Impact The timing of his return is critical with Mike Matheson (lower body) not returning to the ice after the second period Saturday. Guhle has the ability to deliver offense, and depending on the length of Matheson's absence, he could be the Habs' go-to for the power play. Guhle has just 48 NHL games under his belt, but he would be an intriguing fantasy option for the duration of Matheson's absence if Guhle moves up to Montreal's top unit with the extra man.

Jake Allen - Third straight win Allen made 42 saves in a 4-3 shootout win over Winnipeg on Saturday.
Impact He was busy in the first period but held the Jets off, other than Adam Lowry's penalty shot goal at 4:28. The first 33 seconds of the second period were rough, as Allen surrendered goals 16 seconds apart to fall behind 3-1, but Allen then bricked up the braided bungalow to force a shootout and earn the win. He's now won three straight, and he's channelling some of his best hockey since his St. Louis days. Allen is 3-0-1 with a 2.63 GAA and .930 save percentage.
